We met @KyleToole on the road back in the early days of The Ghost, something about his chirpy bubblin' vibe sparked an instant connection.

Federico Benedetti aka Onirik is a bit of a renaissance man, he is a DJ, an accomplished one at that, he is an artist, quite a good one with releases on Garage Hermétique, Off The Grid and Dopium Tribe. He also happens to have his own record label, a rather good one too, it's called Garage Hermétique, you will likely have heard of it. If you haven't heard of his labels (shame on you), or his own tracks (how dare you), then you will most definitely have heard of his record distribution company, label, and record store Off The Grid. Of all the Berlin DJs who make a living spinning strange, I'm-not-sharing-the-tracklist kind of records, Sugar Free, originally hailing from Madrid, might be the most fun. She plays bold, colourful tracks with an air of sci-fi and sleaze, somewhere between Italo, hi-NRG, electro and house. (Her Dimensions Mix last year was one of our favourites of 2023.) She's the kind of DJ who messes with your perception of genres and tempos by how she blends tracks together, and also a DJ with a rare grasp of mixing melodies and moods—just check out the first transition of this RA Podcast for a spine-tingling example.

Sugar Free doesn't speak much publicly, and you won't find a lot about her on the internet. She prefers to let her DJing speak for itself. And her RA Podcast says a lot: proggy basslines, heart-in-mouth descents into reverb-heavy breakdowns, eerie vocals and a general feel of psychedelia and '80s decadence. It's difficult to tell what era these records are from, which is part of the charm. For a bonus point, try and pick out two just-completed Sugar Free originals, some of her first productions ever after her debut track came out on Limousine Dream in 2022.

From his first few releases on the influential Interactive Test label and as Major Hypnotic Key Institute, Miki was a key figure in shaping the early techno landscape. It's testament to his staying power that he's been able to remain cutting edge for so long, with many of his records getting a new lease of life when picked up by the usual suspects.

This mix checks in at almost three hours and is a consummate display of the man's talents; the sheer breadth of his record collection and the skilful manner it's woven together in all befitting of a 30+ year veteran.
