This week on the podcast, a mix from friend of the festival and celebrated Cartulis resident Junki Inoue. Born in Tokyo but living in London since 2012, Junki's been an avid record collector from an early-age. Few have bags as deep, something shown by this mix, which happens to be an hour section of his set from Dimensions 2022. It's testament to the timeless sound he's cultivated that you'd never tell.

After a brief hiatus we're back with the 9th Tape by the one they call Otik - 3024 recording artist extraordinaire responsible for the magnificent Cosmosis album as well as the recent EP Cloud Runner.

3024: Otik, can you describe your mix in a single sentence?

"An ethereal and drum heavy journey between 160 and 170bpm, which includes old and new inspirations for my recent ‘Cloud Runner’ EP on 3024."

3024: What DJ inspires you at the moment / has inspired you throughout the years and why?

"I’ve actually talked about this recently, but I’ve always been in awe of Midland’s sets. The way he can read a crowd and create heart stopping moments on the spot with ease has really inspired me to become a better DJ."

3024: What are you working on / what have you got forthcoming?

"I’m currently finishing up two records for the same label, I can’t say who yet but I’m really happy with how they sound. The music focuses a bit more on the dance floor, 4x4 rhythms and sits within the 135-140pm range, which I haven’t experimented with for a while."
