Slaughter Mob - I Can't Sleep

An unexpected but refreshing fusion of styles, this Special 4 Track E.P. sees recent Dimeshift labelmates Delian Sound and Spectre come together to self-release a collection of hard-hitting, hybrid music that shelves trends in favour of carving out a new soundworld.

In a format harking back to the early days of Tempa, the E.P. taps into both producers' interest in writing fresh takes on the '02-'03 post-garage moment, reinterpreting elements of 140/dubstep, breakbeat, and more.

Delian Sound's signature breaks, sampling ethics, and wobbles bookend the release, leading the opening breakstep-excursion "Bass Odyssey " and reese-drenched roller "Eclipse" in the finale.

Meanwhile, the measured edge of Spectre's pad, synth, and drum work set the stage in the merciless, keeps-you-guessing track "Anything" and meditative progressions of "Stasis".
