'Veluw,' which was written in a cabin in De Veluwe, a vast forest in the Netherlands which had a clear impact on the sounds. Streams of lush melody, harmonic bell sounds and subtle clicks all unfold in loose yet elegant fashion up top and slowly but surely lock you in a trance. Sweeping strings add scale and bring plenty of positive emotions.

Tief Music mainstays Sisterhood release their second EP for the label following up their hugely successful 'Call Me Ishmael' released back in 2013. Tunnels features three original tracks showing the London based duo's versatility and maturity as producers. The EP kicks off with 'Doublespeak', a hard-hitting peak time track, filled with arpeggiated synths and dubbed out FX. 'Tunnels' is deep and sparse, slowly building throughout its 7 minute run. Bicep reconstruct the title track, morphing it into a punchy, bassline focused roller with piercing atmospheric pads. 'Believe' closes the EP, a dreamy, sample based track utilizing beautiful floating chords to great effect.

Rolling into a broad groove from the get-go, Glömde is a tightly knit Tech House banger that brings together firm percussion and melodic synth thrusts. Singer Tyra’s delicate vocals, at times whispered, add an extra layer of harmonies, making the track even more compact and entrancing.

Netherlander techno craftsman Love Over Entropy delivers a spellbinding remix, stripping down most of the original elements and reverting the focus onto the percussive backbone. Seemingly straightforward, LOE reconstructs the initial groove, rebuilding it up with industrial details and a raw, ample sound esthetic.

Whether serving up rolling techno treats for Cocoon, essential mixes for the Body Language series on Get Physical or laying down compelling club sets in the DJ booth, Brit Tim Green is unstoppable right now. Here he steps up to the Get Weird imprint with two more tantalising cuts that show just how broad and brilliant an artist he is.

Stirring opener ‘For A Memory’ is eleven minutes of wordless and intoxicating female vocals, slick rubbery drums and plunging bass. The overall effect is hypnotic, rolling and perfectly groovy, and it will no doubt have whole dancefloors locked under its spell. Some little melodic explosions, sweeping filters and luscious pads all help add a real air of grace to proceedings that mark it out as another classic from Green.

‘For A Distant Memory’ is a subtle but noteworthy reworking of the same cut. In this one, the drums are less direct and more stripped back, there is a focus on the angelic, glowing pads and on spine tingling slices of synth that are reflective and emotive as they drop in and out. It is a perfectly trance inducing, heart warming cut that the likes of Lee Burridge at his All Day I Dream parties, or various DJs playing on a sun kissed terrace around the globe, will all lap right up.

Top-notch DJs and producers are often known for their globe-trotting ways, but Magda takes it to another level. Born in Poland, she came of age in Detroit and was eventually adopted by Richie Hawtin and the rest of the Minus Records crew. Now living in Berlin, she's been in the news as of late after the (somewhat surprising) announcement that she was leaving Minus after more than a decade and instead focusing on Items & Things, a label she runs with Marc Houle and Troy Pierce. Although the split was amicable, it does represent the start of an important new chapter in the techno veteran's career, so we figured that now would be a good time for her to put together an exclusive mix for the XLR8R podcast series. True to form, Magda has delivered a deep, complex mix that often features three our four tracks playing at once while she combines techno—of both the pulsing Detroit and minimal variety—with bits of house, disco, and a few other surprises. Magda's future may be wide open, but there is little doubt that her DJ abilities are still on-point.

BIOGRAPHY

Dimitri has been passionate about music from a very early age. 
His first releases date from more than 10 years ago and got played by big names like Carl Cox, Mark Broom, Luke Slater and many others. Since then, Dimitri evolved and built up his carreer as an experienced high quality dj and producer.

In 2003 came a first break-through when he released 'Panther ep' on the prestigious and artistically highly appreciated label Music Man. The ep sold well, received many positive reviews and delivered invitations to perform at major European parties like I Love Techno.

More releases followed and Dimitri continued working and producing in his studio on lots of different projects, always with lots of attention to the groove in his work. His productions are getting played worldwide by the biggest dj's who all appreciate this typical groove and the pro-pulsing arrangements as ideal ingredients to make the floor go wild.

In 2008, Dimitri released a new pearl, 'Run and hide'. The track was a first step in a more emotional direction of his productions. Soon after he made remixes for Marc Romboy and Chelonis R jones (Get Physical) on Systematic recording. As well as some very deep emotional remixes he also made more energetic remixes on MBelektronics, Girafe sauvage that Year.

More collaborations with other DJ's, artists and producers take place again in 2009. Dimitri has been working with Marc Romboy in the studio and together they remixed a track from Marc's latest Album, 'The Beat'. A few months after Dimitri released 'Pharaoh'. He produced not only the music, but also a video on this track. As he's also working on tv commercials and on different side-projects, these experiences reflect more and more in his cinematic way of arranging tracks. Due to these experiences, Dimitri now creates a musicvideo on most of his releases. As he finds this a much better and visual way to communicate with his fans. This exceptional visual aspect is very important for Dimitri. It will definitely be something he will work on even more in the future.
