made the first version of this track way back in july, coming off of a few weeks of writer's block keeping me from making new stuff. i wasn't that confident in it at the time, but as the months have gone by i found myself more and more attached to it - and people i showed it to seemed to think it was among my best stuff, so i decided to make it my first public track.

in a future ep, i might come back to it again, remix it, and add vocals. who knows?

been sitting on this one for a while. one of the strongest instrumental tracks i think i've ever done - i didn't find myself feeling like it needed vocals. if vocals ever go on it, i might get somebody to rap - but i think the guitar melodies are strong enough on their own.

the "eruptions" title came out of the feeling that i thought the track conjured - teetering on the edge of cataclysmic realizations, desperately trying - and failing - to keep them under control.
