On a sunny morning in 2016 in Moschato of Athens, two of Greece’s most prominent DJ's - Producers were on their hands and knees in an unremarkable storage facility, in Athens. The DJs, MCD and Marble, spent the day digging through crates of old records and create their first common EP  '' Soul Food ''.
"Soul Food EP" is free for any licensing and it would be in a private link until May 1st of 2016.

This track is an edit by MCD to "The Ghetto" by George Benson, accompanied by pianist Joe Sample, covered the song in his album Absolute Benson.
"The Ghetto" is a socially conscious, mostly instrumental jazz-flavored anthem, released as the first single off American soul singer Donny Hathaway's debut album, Everything Is Everything, released as a single in 1970 on Atlantic Records.

Whatcha gonna do ?

MCD 
is the definition of a versatile producer as his projects and collaborations cover a very wide range of styles. 
He began his career as a hip hop artist. In 1992 he formed with Michalis Mitakidis the first hip-hop band in Greece, ACTIVE MEMBER, which soon became one of the most famous hip hop bands in Greece. 
In 1995 after gaining a lot of stage experience from numerous live performances, he left the band and started producing his own music. 
In 2003 he met Vassilis Zafiridis and they formed a new project called NEVERLAND, focusing on chillout and trip-hop music. Their debut album, titled Dreams, was released in 2004. 
In 2004 he formed with Kostas Mantos the soulful house project, INFLUENCE, and they released in 2005 their debut album called Influenced By You, through DJ MCD’s own label called Deectiva. Their album had a very warm welcome by radio stations and DJs and delivered a couple of big club hits for the summer of 2007 in Greece. 
In 2007 DJ MCD released his debut solo album Inner State through his own label Deectiva, and received excellent reviews for his trip-hop atmosphere and nu school beats. 
DJ MCD had already attracted a lot of attention in his home country Greece so far. But it wasn’t until later in the same year, when he participated under a new project name to the Coca-Cola Soundwave 2007 contest, that DJ MCD’s name would take the first step for an international presence. 
His new project name was A DOG NAMED RODRIGUEZ, and his track Everyday Is A Brand New Day was one of the top hits of the contest. 
Lia Hide, the favorite muse of DJ MCD, was the voice behind this track. Lia’s ethereal voice was recruited in the next few months by DJ MCD to prepare an album for the A Dog Named Rodriguez project. 
The album was named Everyday Is A Brand New Day, after their big radio hit and was released in late 2007 by The Sound Of Everything. 
The radio support of the album from almost all the dance and alternative radio stations in Greece was a clear indication that this project deserved international attention. The album also includes a cover version of Give It Up, the classic song of Sade. 
One of the most famous Greek producers with international career, Nikos Diamantopoulos, remixed their hit song Eveyday Is A Brand New Day and his remix got worldwide attention. It was included in the compilation Siddharta of the famous DJ Ravin from Paris, released by George V in 2008 and also in Catcher In The Crowd compilation (The Sound Of Everything). 
DJ MCD has also remixed Jose Nunez’s club hit Bilingual. Furthermore his tracks can be found on international compilations like ELECTRIC CALM V.3 (GLOBAL UNDERGROUND) and many more top selling compilations in Greece like:
