Created by musician and psytrance producer Ajja, “Novelty Engine” is a collective with a variable line-up. Each performance will be unique and feature a carefully chosen mix of talented musicians and performers.

The name “Novelty Engine” is a simplification of the late Terence McKenna’s referral to the universe as a “novelty conserving engine”.

The idea to do an improvisational psy-reggae live set, as a first chapter in the “Novelty Engine” history, came when Ajja met Jamaican musicians Cedric Myton and R.Zee Jackson.
Cedric is a founding member of the legendary roots reggae band “The Congos”. Their iconic 1977 album “Heart of the Congos” was produced by Lee “Scratch” Perry in his Black Ark Studios. Both Cedric and R.Zee are counted amongst the most accomplished reggae musicians to come out of Jamaica.
In 2014, Cedric and R.Zee were on tour in Europe and came to visit Dymons in his studio in Switzerland. They felt so much at home they decided to return a few weeks later to start working on a full-length reggae album. At this point Dymons invited Ajja to collaborate on the studio sessions for the album.

During the three-week recording sessions, for his own amusement, Ajja made an electronic remix of one of the tracks. When he played it to Cedric and R.Zee, not only did they like it but were also very curious to hear more. After seeing videos of Ajja and Dymons playing at the Ozora Festival with The Peaking Goddess Collective in 2013, as well as the Ajja & Cosmosis set the same year, they were intrigued and expressed interest in participating one day.

Ajja started working on a set of psy-funk-reggae dance floor tracks, and eventually pitched the idea to Wegha and the Ozora Festival crew who enthusiastically welcomed it.

This is the set Prometheus played at the legend that was Ozora 2011 - the greatest Psy-fest in the world - 30,000 people basking in sun, beauty and music for 5 days.

Once Upon a Time is a quest project about the cosmic energy which electronic music can offer to dance floor travelers.
Those sonic fairy tales aim to drive through magically attuned landscapes, across a sea of deep, dark and melancholic psychedelic mood, often fading with film score and organic elements.
OUaT is the psychedelic side of a Bulgarian musician more known as Kliment with his progressive, ambient and (recently) techno works from the past 6 years.
Kliment is also part of the project Goatika Creative Lab, an international full-on live band.
