New Noise is Dim Mak’s new music discovery imprint that highlights cutting edge sounds from burgeoning artists across the genre spectrum. New Noise originally got its start as a compilation series highlighting fresh faces handpicked by Steve Aoki and the Dim Mak crew.  Since then, the platform has evolved into a bi-weekly, free-download model based on singles. New Noise’s current incarnation is also copyright free, which allows the budding community of Twitch gamers and amateur YouTube creators to use New Noise music in their videos and live streams without the need to purchase or pay fees, all in exchange for linking back to the artists and their music.

NEW NOISE - DOWNLOAD A FREE SONG EVERY OTHER TUESDAY

2013 has been a huge year for English alternative band, "Scanners." This June marked the release of their long awaited third album, "Love is Symmetry" on Dim Mak Records. To follow up, 5 songs on the album have been chosen for 8 remixers to give their interpretation on Scanners. First off the Ep is Fei-Fei's remix of the title track. She takes the song's energy up a few notches with her invigorating, bass-heavy style. Next, Carpenter Brut's electro spin does something similar on "Control" by including a heavy rock influence. T.W.I.N.S then takes "Mexico" and adds an indie dance vibe, resulting in a fun, playful beat.  Then, "State of Wonder" gets a "hard bass" remix by Zeskulls. The intro keeps the good-feel vibes of the original tune, but then takes a quick turn as Zeskull's signature wobbles takes the driving wheel. The 5th remix on the EP is another remix of "Control" by Boots N' Pants. As you listen to this remix, let your mind and body get carried away with this relaxing, deep house groove. The energy picks up again with the second remix of "State of Wonder," a pumping electro-house track tailored by Kevin Focus. Following next is a creative, beat-intensive, drum n' bass remix by Aeronautica. Their expert sound design adds a unique touch to this remix of "Mexico." Finally, the Remix Ep ends on a great note with Hiroshima Twinky's take on "Control.," a beautiful piece that is easy to fall in love with.
