This 20 minute piece was written and composed for this years ShadowDance Festival in Oakland CA 2016. I was asked by Anastasia Louise of Bad Unkl Sista, an intense Butoh inspired performance ensemble based in SF. When I played it live it included some ghost E-Bow guitar..and the throat chanting talents of Goyo Aranaga. 
This track is under my solo ambient ritual drone project The Ether Aquarium.

The jewel in the crown of Israel’s underground music scene, Red Axes have produced a steady stream of hits on labels like Permanent Vacation, I’m A Cliché, Crosstown Rebels, and on our all-inclusive culti label where they dropped what became, somewhat surprisingly, their biggest hit to date with Waiting For a Surprise. The dark, stripped down disco bomb had one of the most memorable hooks of the year in singer Abrão’s staccato chorus, a late night voodoo incantation that was always begging to be remixed. 

We asked fellow Tel Avivian Moscoman to direct his hot hands to the guitar, mellowing things slightly, stretching out the hooks and adding layers of ambulant percussion to his signature middle eastern flair. The man you love to hate to love breaks his bread and shares it with us all.

Red Axes - Waiting For A Surprise (Moscoman Remix)

Tyoma delivers his first new single, 'Haze' since his 10-track debut album 'Mirror' in April 2016, which was recently followed by a remix EP in September. This fresh work sounds very powerful and aggressive. The heavy breathing of rave, a deep bassline, androgynous vocals and a general mood of anxiety, delivering what in movie terms is called the suspense. The release of 'Haze' ties in with a trio of amazing gigs. On 26th August Tyoma presented an impressive live show at the White Night open-air event (Art-zavod Platforma in Kiev) alongside a full orchestra, which will be followed by the warm-up set before Moderat's live show at Bud Arena in Moscow on 14th September, plus a solo concert at Moscow's 16TONS club on 17th September.

Rubedo é uma palavra em latim que significa avermelhado. 
é a última grande transmutação alquímica, que culmina na conclusão final da Grande Obra.
O principal efeito da sublimação da matéria da Ópera durante Rubedo é a reunificação final dos opostos.
O que foi separado por razões contingentes, agora volta a se reunir. Durante esta fase, testemunhamos a reunificação do espírito e da matéria, do homem e da mulher, do Sol e da Lua.
E não é por acaso que a cor desta operação é vermelha, uma cor que fica a meio caminho entre preto e branco, entre luz e escuridão.
Finalmente, a conclusão de Rubedo marca a realização da Pedra Filosofal, uma substância capaz de conferir imortalidade, adquirir onisciência e transmutar metais comuns em ouro.
No cristianismo, o vermelho está associado ao Pentecostes, ou à descida do Espírito Santo na Terra, na forma de línguas de fogo.
Muitos psicólogos viram nas transmutações alquímicas uma metáfora para as mudanças que ocorrem no âmbito da interioridade humana.
Nesta perspectiva, Rubedo representaria a aceitação do indivíduo pela sombra e suas contradições mais profundas.
De fato, existem analogias e é sacrossanto detectá-las. No entanto, é muito provável que o verdadeiro significado das transmutações alquímicas vá muito além de qualquer mudança que tenha apenas natureza psíquica ou pseudo-espiritual.
