URA (Zac MacArthur)! Mans got tunes. 

How do you typically prepare a mix?

I fill a stick or a bag with music I want to play. Try not to overthink it. After a while I feel like intuition is king.

Who do you think is the most underrated artist of our time?

3 goals for 2022 that has nothing to do with music?

Breath. Stretch more. Get a dog?

If you had to go back in time music wise what era would it be and why?

I think I’d stay right here. Insane music coming out right now!

What is your most recent favorite DJ mix and why?

Huerco S and DJ Healthy at Public Records. Refreshing club music. Love it.

What was your first gig? How did it go? 

It was in a bar in the suburbs using Virtual DJ. My girlfriend at the time was celebrating her birthday. We were 16. It was hype.

FM4 La boum de luxe (26.04.19)

Finally, reunited with a DW-8000. So good!

Have some booty bouncing deep house courtesy of the RM1X, DW-8000, and MS-101.

All sequencing/drums done on the RM1X, bass on MS-101, and stab on DW-8000. Oh also, RM1X goes through the eurorack (Antiphon, Rings, then Clouds) for some funky glitches and weird sounds to kinda add to it. So good!

Reunion

Hey, day two with the cycles. I recorded this around 150 bpm and probably brought it down closer to 140 or so with tape slowing, same as the previous. I'm thinking of making a short little EP with all the initial model:cycles tracks I'm gonna record. Oooooh that would be really cool...

Anyways, this is all model:cycles all the time, recorded to type II on my Tascam 246.

Neon Streaks

Still working on this one, not quite happy with it fully. But this is some really smudgy Model:Cycles getting all chunky on the tape.

I'm using an ancient Scotch data tape, so it's definitely helping with the crunch a bit haha. This is Model:Cycles into Dreadbox Hypnosis into the Tascam 246. Recorded at full double speed with dbx engaged, and recorded at nearly the lowest double speed with dbx off.
