We created the Kashay Salon Podcast in an effort to share with you our passion for music and blessed sonic journeys, with no borders and the inclusion of all ethnicities and walks of life. The Sala 60 Psychedelia project, DJ and Brazilian cultural producer,
from Chapada Diamantina-Bahia, Dalney Geovenazhi, brings with him and in 
his musical research, ethnic and historical, urban and ancestral representation of determined people or place, assigning ideals of unification and understandingthrough medicine music (Chillout / downtempo). 

Their creations are based on their roots, with African music in its construction, as an influence, the psychedelia of the 60s / 70s and its movement of musical and political-social immersion, the multiplicity 
of Brazilian music and its ancestry, referring to their ancestral conscience and extolling their spiritual attributions.

Artists and music from different decades and countries,
in a compilation that mixes Brazilian folk cultural movements and world music artists, 
Nina Simone, Leonard Cohen, Led Zeppelin, Joan Baez, 
Gilberto Gil singing Beatles and Amy Whinehouse are some of those 
who makes up the set "Enegenho de Flores"

Representations that share the same connection in their musicality 
and have an amplitude over the regency of words and rhythm, body and mind. 
"Engenho de Flores" is a compilation of Brazilian and world artists, 
with songs that always have a place in our memory and in our hearts.

ZEIA a.k.a. Gunther Robles is a Mexican born DJ/Producer with 20 years worth of experience in the game, and with it, a vast array of reputable names on his resume, to sit alongside many top class venues where he has graced the decks.

Now based in Madrid, he started his playing career in Mexico City, sharing the decks with such established names as Deep Dish, Danny Tenaglia, Satoshi Tomiie, Nic Fanciulli, James Holden, Dave Seaman and Green Velvet, to name a few.

He has since taken those early vital experiences, and showcased his talent globally at iconic venues such Eden Ibiza, Burg Schnabel Berlin, Panama Club Amsterdam, Macarena Club Barcelona and The Block Tel Aviv, amongst numerous others.

He has paired these performances with a stellar production career to date. A back catalogue that includes labels such as Frucht, Lost Crate, Onyrism is certainly one to be admired.

All the while gathering support from some of the biggest names on the scene, like Richie Hawtin, Solomun, Secret Cinema & Animal Trainer.

With many exciting things beckoning for Robles in 2022, we for sure are looking forward to sharing the ride.

This marked my 10th year out on the blank canvas of creativity, known as the Playa.  It was unforgiving and magnificent and challenging and beautiful all at once. I tell myself every year, this may be my last, that the experience has pushed me to my limits of comfort, and patience.  But literally the second I get back to the default World,  I miss it dearly, and cannot wait to return. The last Come Down mix I made for Burning Man was 5 years ago, and with the explosion of energy and mega high vibes this year, I felt the calling to create another chill-out journey into sound. Think of this mix as your long Exodus back into reality.  Listen closely to the inspiring words of Larry Harvey sprinkled through out the set. This legendary man and his brilliant vision, which he so profoundly describes in his own poetically genius way, is the reason we all make the annual pilgrimage to this desolate barren land of LOVE.   Enjoy the ride and see you in the dust again real soon.  ~ Sabo

October came over with its usual two-sided weather, the slow cold wind and the rusty, pale, grey leaves that we used to step over in the refreshing morning walk. A cup of espresso, a rolling tobacco, two shabby postcards from Brian Eno and Boards of Canada, the faded ships as they’re leaving from the port passing through clouds of thick fog. Autumn is love and broken dreams, is poetry and glasses of wine, music with warm everlasting feelings, windmills that keep spinning into wind’s commands like the spinning years of our youth! For the joy of those who know (and even more so for those who don't) here comes a new mix dedicated to the beauty of spinning windmills. Nick’s passion for electronic dance music was sparked in his hometown of surfers paradise, Gold Coast after a night out to see Dimitri from Paris.

A shift to Melbourne further ignited his love for EDM, leading him to quickly purchase his own set of decks. Techno became his genre of choice in the early days of Djing, inspired by the likes of Jeff Mills and Derrick May. This was soon followed by a progressive influence from big names like James Zabiela, Nick Warren, Sasha and John Digweed.

Nick spent several years in London, frequenting clubs such as Fabric and Turnmills, and DJ’d at parties and local clubs/bars. Nick’s EDM genre of choice has mellowed over the years leaving behind those early days of techno for an organic and deep house vibe. Nick regularly spins tunes from All Day I Dream, Anjundeep, Shanti Moscow Radio, Melody of the Soul to name a few. Nick also plays back-to-back with fellow DJ Matt Saz, under the name Saznic. Nick has a current residency on the UK-based AATM Radio Show ‘Origins’ showcasing DJs from around the world who play organic, deep and melodic house. Nick recently supported one of his organic house idols ‘Double Touch’ at their debut Melbourne gig.
