When Mauro got his first piano at the age of 7, he did not expect that his musical path would guide him into the realm of electronic music.

Mauro has been involved in a number of scenes and after a long musical journey, Mauro found his way into the Techno and House scene in 2006 before finally getting his production hat on and releasing his first track 'Calm Water' in 2011 on Hamburg label 'der Turnbeutel'.

Whilst this opened the door for him, Mauro also runs his own label based in Bremen called AUDITIVE since the end of 2011, releasing music of the same genre and putting on collaborative AUDITIVE nights.

The network around Mauro thrives and prospers! This is how he succeeded in releasing a diversified repertoire of music on various labels in a short period of time. With gigs in Spain, Switzerland and nationwide in Germany he always captures his audience to go with him on a new voyage and impresses through many years experience. We welcome Mauro to Dino Audio with wide open T-rex arms.

It's a short hop over the Irish Sea today, as we take the series to Brighton! Home to one of Germany's finer exports, todays act has crossed off all the requirements needed to make it successful in todays music industry, and we're chuffed as cheese to get him onboard with us. Markus exemplifies and expands one of the main roles of being a DJ; to bring beautiful music to those who love it! Not only through his sets, but through his renowned events (Berlin - Brighton), his new label Dino Audio, and regular radio show.

Having played around the world, he established a home in Brighton and quickly took residencies for Hed Kandi and gigs at all the best venues in the city. After creating an impact as a DJ, his aim to bring Berlin themed underground parties to his new home has born fruit, with years of stand out events bringing the light hearted, love filled spirit to the shores of Brighton.

Markus is also the co-founder of United We Stream Brighton which joined UWS Berlin and 90+ other cities in a music movement streaming live sets to viewers at home thereby uniting artists and venues in a global movement of solidarity. It emerged from the past years pandemic as an idea to bring those missing club nights directly into the homes of listless clubbers. Originally focussing on Brightons many talented DJs and producers, and raising money for some very good causes and charities, seeing the cream of the words DJ talent play exclusive sets, that are shared all over the world. Theres more to come, with even bigger projects and countries looking to join the UWS revolution.

Dino Audio is Markus's newly founded record label. Designed to add quality Deep House and Melodic Techno, supported by the worlds best DJs, to having a little fun with .....Dinosaurs! Only 2 years in and we can hear these tracks being played at Burning Man, Mixmag live NYC and many other clubbing institutions.

PFG The Progcast - Episode 57 - Markus Saarländer

Two strangers enter a toilet at a Pan Pot gig, they emerge as friends, and two years later are ready to start showing the city of Brighton and the rest of the world their unique style of dance floor groovers.

We're excited to bring you an exciting duo: Luke and Owen, aka Monica, have been members of the dance floor generation since their late teens. With a musical choice that is sometimes considered to sit just outside what the majority of people in Brighton play, and a love for the Berlin sound, it wasn't long before they were offered their first taste of limelight, when the head honcho of Nightshift Records, Sami Kubu, offered them a slot on her bi-monthly podcast. The podcast was to be released as a Halloween special in 2016. The mix was an emotional and moody eclectic mix of music both Luke and Owen love with groove from start to finish. It was well received by both listeners and Nightshift records themselves and building on their success secured a weekly radio show on Codesouth FM. Monica lit up the dancefloor for our Berlin 3rd Birthday party in November 2017 and have been coming back ever since.

Born and raised in Berlin Tonia had an early connection to electronic music through labels like Monkeytown Records and Ostgut Ton and built her musical taste on those firm foundations.

While listening to techno and roaming Berlin's club scene it became obvious to her quite quickly to start DJing and soon after that she became part of SOA Recordings and has since played and many iconic Berlin venues right across the city. When playing she mixes a diverse range of different styles and takes you on a journey from house to techno and back. A perfectly luscious Mixtape with so many avenues that will have you wanting for more. Enjoy!

We're proud to present to you Episode 24 of our Berlin Mixtape Series by Ritter Butzke residents and super talented duo BAAL. The ambivalent, Hebrew word "BAAL" is a hint to the spiritual background of the two Munich (now Berlin based) artists Matthias Dräxler and Matthias Schüll. As Ritter Butzke residents and purveyors of their own night "The Temple of BAAL" these two lovelies are already well-known faces across the Berlin Club Scene and beyond. The direct translation of "BAAL" is "Lord". The term is used to address God in the Bible but can also refer to false gods or demons.

It is up to the listener whether they want to focus on the dark power of the devil or the epic glory of God in the music of BAAL. Cool stuff right? We're super excited or should we be scared? Either way we're in for an amazing musical journey.... Enjoy!
