This is how classical piano is supposed to sound.  This piece grabs the listener right from the start and doesn't let go.  I love the whole thing, but I particularly like the complex harmonies in the chords from 1:12 - 1:24.  The express deep emotion, and that's what I like in this type of music.  I can't wait to hear the finished product!

LYRICS

Oh, John was born out of wedlock,
to a family in the frozen North,
in the early winter, 1982.
Not that he knew anything of it,
but they were poor as fucking shit,
and there was nothing that anyone could do.

The world is full of colour and the world is full of light.
The world is full of people who get paid.
But his family they weren't one of them,
all squandered in the night.
The 50ps were going down the drain.

His father an electricians mate,
some food was going on the plate,
his mum stayed at home as mothers do.
and John was not aware of it,
but oil and water do not mix,
and they were just a pair of mismatched fools.

The world is full of youngsters with no business to procreate,
their worldview way too small to make the grade.
and their children bear the brunt of all these juvenile mistakes,
that's just the way it is and shall remain.

Oh, the world was neon tinged but drab, 
the curtains brown the young ones mad,
the madness of the times was plain to hear.
But John was young and didn't know,
how far his start in life could take him,
Once he was awake and self aware.

Oh the world is filled with fears but you're just too young to know,
you can't yet see the way that things can be.
You lay within your childhood home protected from the snow,
but things go on that you just do not see.

Four years later things went bad,
his mum, his sister, not his dad,
were running down the hill to get away.
To get away from things not seen,
in Johnny boys most lucid dreams,
to get away and never once look back.

The world is full of colour and the world is full of light,
the world is full of people who escape,
escape from possibilities that never last the night,
the price too much for the women to pay.

Can you hear the Monsters that are hiding in the forest?
Can you hear the Monsters? They're just over there.
Be careful of your noise or the Monsters will hear you.
They'll hear you, the Monsters, are just over there.

Can you see the Monsters wandering around the houses?
Can you see the Monsters? They're right over here.
The Monsters are among us, the Monsters must of heard you.
They've heard you, the Monsters, in houses, right there.

John look at the Monsters I created for you.
John look at the Monsters writhing over there.
John, do me a favour, tell them about the Monsters.
The Monsters, just for you, created, right there.

John, have I ever told you that you're like a Monster?
At least you look just like the ones that I just saw.
I took that piece of weakness and created you this Monster.
A Monster, you're just like, stood there by the door.

The Glorious Morning Mood is the 9th song of my folk album 2023 The Beauty of Nature and closes with it.
I will release the album  in December 2023.

I sent the finished folk song and 7 stems to MTM Mastering True Music Production for checking and sound improvement, which worked very well. A very nice team from Spain. Guitars and voice have now got the sound I had imagined. For me it was very worthwhile to pass this mix and mastering on to an external company. When composing and recording, mixing and mastering, your ear becomes fixed in your DAW (brain). You often don't find your sounds that good. That's why I use an external mix and mastering studio to check. I really had a very positive experience with MTM. With young ears and with professional training that completed my work.
