WELOVEBASS are Luís Marques and Maria Isaura a couple from Porto, Portugal, focused on live analog music performance.
Krystal Kalimba, released by Blind Arc is their debut release, a 2 track EP exploring new boundaries in the progressive techno genre.
When you listen to their live sets you can be sure you won't be listening to a recording, and the subtle changes made in real time become magic on the dancefloor!
This release also includes two remixes by two portuguese duos: Monogram and Flembaz.

D-Nox is an internationally renowned performer, respected by DJs, and clubbers alike for his highly creative, and innovative sets. The style of his DJ sets varies through progressive and tech house while incorporating aspects of techno, and trance. His skill with the turntables, excellent choice of tracks, and unique charisma combine to provide an exceptional experience. Aside from DJing, D-Nox is head of the Sprout and Plastik Park record labels with many of these releases finding their way into the playlists of top-class DJs, such as John Digweed, and Pete Tong, amongst many others. And then of course who can forget his work alongside Frank Beckers, under their D-Nox & Beckers moniker, a name that is synonymous with many of the scene’s classic tracks.

The German will be in Australia in the coming weeks for the Enchanted Gardens party in Melbourne, which follows a highly-talked about set at the past Rainbow Serpent Festival. It’s been a long time coming, but we finally have D-Nox on board for a Balance Selections mix…

Looking through my old DAT's, I found this forgotten gem… This was made in Januray 1999. It's a remix of Atmos' classic Klein Aber Doctor done by myself and George Barker, released as Slinky Wizard vs. Green Nuns Remix….BUT this version was done after we had put down our final mix…. Simon popped round for a cuppa and did a live mix on the mixing desk. In the "olden days" before making everything inside a computer people would make their sequenced mix then put everything on a loop and make a live mix on the analogue mixing desk twisting the FX and EQ's, playing the desk like an instrument……this was a trick learnt from the days of Youth's Butterfly Studios….. Simon P., Ott and Greg Hunter were masters of this.Then you could edit it down into a few minutes. So this is Simon's live mix of our remix….its about 19 minutes long and very psychedelic! Enjoy!

The original track is cinematic in sound design, contained by spacious textures and trails along with warm analog synths. In contrast to the electronic sounds, there’s a natural balance with world percussion and organic foley. Both remixes lend creative ingenuity to the EP. Unknown Concept brings the heat with his driving, big room prog techno and Jedidiah lays down utterly cerebral psychedelia. This EP is for those lost in the jungle and is the vines between psychedelic techno, progressive and deep house.
