Dion Tashawn Garrett, born July 20, 1991, is an aspiring artist originating from Syracuse, NY. At the age of 14, his mother moved him down to Winston-Salem, NC, where he began his high school career and quickly realized a passion for music. Shortly after high school, he put his dreams on hold to join the United States Army. About mid-February 2014, Dion and his friend, aspiring producer, Jay Woods, ran into a new soldier at reserve duty by the name of Chrys Sims. Overhearing a conversation between the two about making music, Chrys interjected and let it be known that he too shared the passion. The three spent the remainder of the weekend playing tracks, reciting rhymes, and quickly forming a brotherly bond. So it began. Jay and Chrys realized how much their production styles and strengths complimented each other’s and decided they’d join forces to create the “November 34th” team, Jay’s birthday being the 3rd November and Chrys’ being the 4th. Dion, thoroughly impressed with their first few collaborative efforts, quickly informed them of his vision. “B.L.O.G, the Bottom Level of Greatness.” The theme symbolized the knowledge of one’s potential and the humbleness of knowing it’ll take hard work and sacrifice to achieve it. Realizing the journey to greatness is filled with obstacles and tribulations in various facets of life, the three decided to make B.L.O.G a series of EP’s, each with a different theme, the first being “Heartbreak Hotel.” We live by a code; if one wins we all 
win. If one is successful we are all successful. Good things come to those who wait, and now the waiting is over. Dreams are finally coming to fruition. We’d like to welcome you to the Bottom Level of Greatness.

i  wrote this song, dedicated to a conversation with music wondering if she'll ever love me the way that i love her. 

When I think about music its my first love, but so many things come around in life that change the course of not only how we go about chasing our dreams. but what our dreams mean to us, and if they are dreams that we actually love and are passionate about...or are we romantic about the way those dreams make us feel and the emotion it spark. 

You get down to your Last Cigarette, Black, Blunt, Bowl....whatever...and start contemplating the emotions that are going to come flooding in when you give yourself a chance to feel again, with out being inebriated.

Dion Garrett is an artist originally from Syracuse, NY, who has done his fair share of traveling around these United States. Between serving in the US Army and touring and performing his music, Dion Whoo has made a name for himself in Tampa, Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and Dallas. 

He began his music career by teaming with the duo, November 34 back in 2014 when he dropped his freshman project Bottom Level Of Greatness: Heartbreak Hotel (B.L.O.G). This was his wake up call confirming that the music industry was his for the taking.

Dion Whoo's second EP, Dion was released in 2017. It featured the singles "Pieces of Life" and "Dion." He honed in on the power his music carries, found his niche, got more insight into the music industry, and gained understanding that he is an invaluable commodity - a business and brand unlike any other. “Raw talent is what some would call it, but when you’re writing from a subconscious place, it's just instinct.”

With the release of 2020's What if I'm Already Famous, Dion Whoo solidified both his sound and his versatility. He has firm roots in Whoo he actually is; self-assured, confident, and intentional.
