most exciting emerging artists who are shaping the present and future of electronic
music, including POLY CHAIN, DJEDJOTRONIC, BINARY ALGORITHMS, SAIGG,

As with its earlier compilation, JUICY GANG RECORDS offers a new wave of vibrant

Mechanoreceptor - Aviary Dwellings EP [No Static Automatic // NSA008]

New Zealander producer Mechanoreceptor is next up on No Static / Automatic presenting his steel-cold electro productions inspired by life and travel. Aviary Dwellings EP is a personal document of the artist's life setting out on the road travelling from his home country of New Zealand through Asia before landing in Germany. Along the way he observes experiences and reimagines them through his production, transcribing visual and tactile life experiences from the lens of a parallel reality named The Aviary.

Each track tells a story of his worldly experience. ‘Taxi Funk’ documents the taxis roaming silently through the city streets of Fukuoka, Japan. ‘Gamma Correction’ is born from the artist's time working in science labs in visual neuroscience. ‘Korean Couture’ is inspired by high fashion within Seoul, South Korea. ‘EZ-3 Wire’ and ‘Reducing Ties’ both come from a materials used for heart surgery procedures, from Mechnoreceptor’s time in medical manufacturing. Manta-ray Oscillator and Oxygenated Pearls. documents part of his experience scuba diving in the seas of Indonesia.

Wiremu Hohaia is the artist behind Mechanoreceptor, an entity drifting between, across, and within unexplored realms within The Aviary, a fictional hyper dimensional world. A research-intensive project, the Aviary’s myriad of intricate physical properties are slowly unveiling themselves. Commonplace phenomena have been discovered to be dynamic and fluid. Hardened surfaces melt into streams of chrome, waterfall mists convert to breathing curtains of diamond dust, and snowfall is instead composed of oriental ceramic shavings. Mechanoreceptor has appeared on Crazed Behaviour, Posse Up, Avoidant, and Ovelha.

5ZYL Bio

Zygimantas Dzikevicius aka 5ZYL hails from the vibrant urban district of Pasilaiciai in Vilnius, Lithuania. Since embarking on his musical journey in 2007, Zygimantas has been deeply influenced by the raw energy of old-school rave, breakbeat, and techno. His early work focused on crafting dubstep and jungle tracks, earning him spots as a dj at various underground parties and open-air events, including the renowned broken rhythm sound festival, Satta. In late 2019, he adopted the alias 5ZYL, a name that quickly garnered attention from influential figures such as Jensen Interceptor and local talent scouts from PPP and PZ Records, leading to a series of acclaimed EP releases.
