Stoked to host this bubble poppin' and electro shockin' mixtape with one of the masters of the game.

@dvsnme is an Electro music producer/deejay and Post-Punk enthusiast living in Colorado. He runs a daily blog called 'Dark Science Electro' which features news, live sets, guest mixes, upcoming shows, and throwbacks, as well as a weekly podcast that publishes every Friday on Soundcloud. The weekly radio show has aired since 2010 and was previously broadcasted on Illegal Connection Radio, Buenos Aires Sound System, and Intergalactic FM every Friday at 20:00 GMT.

He is also an accomplished and prolific Electro music producer. With production techniques ranging from software to hardware and everything in between, and spanning a multitude of genres, he has been producing music since 2000. He has collaborated with the likes of Franck Kartell, Das Muster, MetaComplex, Koova, Faceless Mind, Komarken Electronics, Deemphasis, and more. He is an artist representing Transient Force, Solar One Music, Blind Allies, Pulse Drift Recordings, Ukonx Recordings, Mosaique Records, Fanzine, and more.

Found out it's been a year since Dima of LC died so with all my latest bandcamp acquistions thought I'd do a lil Electro Punk mix, didn't know the tracks that well so its a bit random but good craic for a Wednesday evening.

Electro Punk vs Techno Metal

F-Word, a skilled breakbeat artist and known figure in electronic music, was born in USSR. His early musical influences were marked by energetic styles of Hardcore and Jungle. Over time, he turned to the roots of music, focusing on Funk, underground Hip-Hop, and IDM. This transition reflects his commitment to diversity and a deep understanding of musical contexts.

In his school years, F-Word started crafting his own music, and during this period, he discovered his passion for breakbeat. This genre became his primary channel for expressing individuality and experimentation. Later he became obsessed with the art of DJing, seeing complex mixes as a separate form of art.

Today, F-Word lives on the beautiful island of Phuket in Thailand. There he organized the iconic series of UK Garage and Bass parties called SUB. F-Word's goal is to unite people through music and create unique sonic journeys. His tracks and remixes are heard all over the world: at parties, on the radio and in the speakers of electronic music lovers.

Co-Accused Records return for their second release of 2024 with a hand picked V/A sharing sounds from some of the label’s favourite electro and techno producers. Underground legends and fearsome up-and-comers come on board to the Glasgow based label with Luke’s Anger, SOD-90, Steve Allman, Mal_Hombre and Parand delivering tracks. CR006 VA is selected for the dancefloor, tried and tested in Co-Accused's own DJ sets.

Luke’s Anger launches the EP with some up for it wonky business in ‘Choplifter’. From one of the masters of the wonky techno sound Luke’s Anger continues in full form with his tight yet askew playful beats. SOD-90 comes in next with ‘Saving Up For Botox’ with his fearless punk take on the electro sound - his own brand of high intensity atmospherics mixed with distorted synth lines, vocals and kicking breaks.

Cultivated Electronics’ Steve Allman leads the B Side with ‘This is Not A Dream’ calling on driving hoover bass and haunting synths in classic UK electro style. For the B2 Mal_Hombre takes the EP down a deeper and more spatial path with ‘Triangulation’ with delicately detailed and propulsive techno, a long time friend of the label whose debut album Andromeda Outpost released on Jeff Mill’s iconic Axis Records. Topping the whole thing off Berlin based producer and Avoidant alumni Parand delivers the final hit with Bloc - a powerful, pitch black, driving heads down moment.
