Radio Slave teams up with Nez for all-new versions of the club smash, ‘Wait a Minute’.

The first single from Radio Slave’s forthcoming 2023 LP, ‘Wait a Minute’ sees the UK legend pair with grammy nominated multi-hyphenate Nez for a hard-hitting, rap-infused house track that has become a staple of the handful of DJs that’s already causing track ID request mayhem across social media.

Initially meeting via Radio Slave’s incendiary remix of the FELIX DA HOUSECAT co-produced ‘Lift Off’ released via Three Six Zero/Sony in 2021, LA’s Nez and Berlin-based Radio Slave made plans to work together as soon as possible, and a new version of 2020’s ‘Wait A Minute’ is the result. Featuring remixes from Rekids’ own Mark Broom and coming complete with an instrumental version, Radio Slave feat. Nez ‘Wait A Minute’ is released through Rekids on 26th August 2022.

Radio Slave, aka Matt Edwards, is responsible for some of the most recognisable underground dance tracks of the past 20 years, including ‘Grindhouse’, ‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’, ‘Another Club’, and many other timeless cuts. His collaboration work with Joel Martin as Quiet Village and solo work as Rekid has received critical acclaim, and he remains one of the most in-demand and consistent remixers around. Since beginning the Radio Slave project back in 2001, Matt has always championed his love of Hip hop, officially remixing N.E.R.D in 2004, releasing music from Chicago’s Jack Hogan on Rekids, and curating the disco rap compilation ‘Harlem World (The Sound Of The Big Apple Rappin’)’ with Joel Martin and the late Mark B on their Heroes and Villains imprint.

Nez has worked with the likes of Chance The Rapper, A$AP Rocky, Tinashe, ScHoolboy Q, and many more before dropping the dancefloor focussed ‘Midnight Music’ EP in 2021. Growing up in Chicago, Nez absorbed the rich musical lineage of the Windy City, and now distils these into his own unique creations and collaborations.

First up is ANTHY with his rousing „Dance Dance“; the incredibly infectious bassline and the catchy vocal won’t allow anyone to remain still.
Deep and acidy vibes come from CAZTILLA’s „Fuse“, an energetic peak time stomper with a sensual female singer creating a beautiful balance between gentle and powerful.
„To The Beat“ by Southside Dance marries classic piano house with breakbeat, creating a cinematic festival anthem reminiscent of the 90s.
And closing off the FTTF24 is Luka Sant with „Money“, a dark and hypnotic tech house tune perfect for late nights in hazey clubs.

Moullinex makes his debut on Crosstown Rebels with a three-track EP titled A Fistful of Stars. The release highlights the multi-dynamic approach of the artist, who blends enchanting electronic melodies with club-orientated moods. Fascinated by the solar system, Moullinex's music conveys cosmic feels and radiant energy, perfect for an open-minded dancefloor. 

The Lisbon-based producer shares insight into his explorative process behind the release. "'A Fistful of Stars' and 'Atacama Skies' took a long time from start to finish," he says. "These were sketches I did while I was working in astronomy research with the European Southern Observatory, which was a big inspiration for the EP and much of what I do, really. They are attempts to portray the childlike amazement I still feel with the sheer scale of the known universe: the arrangements are lush and intricate and take their time to develop." The title track unfolds with a lugging kickdrum and lustrous chords, meandering into a celestial soundscape that tingles the senses—a poignant opener. On the flip, Atacama Skies bristles with shaker-led percussion and tribal drums before a starry synthline winds between the beats. Closing tune JFC switches the vibe with an elastic bassline and choppy rhythm, which Moullinex describes as a "functional club banger." In typical Moullinex style, he penned it live in one afternoon. 

Moullinex is a producer, DJ and co-founder of the label Discotexas. He runs the imprint alongside fellow Portuguese artist Xinobi. Together, the pair release nu disco, melodic techno and organic house by international producers spanning Anja Schneider, Diana Oliveira, Oma Nata and many more. Having spent his early years looking up at the star-spangled sky, Moullinex pursued a career in astronomy while developing a passion for music, science and art. Today, Moullinex combines each field into electronic music production, evoking exuberant sounds for reflective listening and club-based audiences. With a versatile aesthetic, Moullinex has remixed tracks by Cut Copy, Sebastien Tellier, Royksopp and Robyn and has played in London's E1 warehouse and New York space Le Bain whilst holding down a residency at Lisbon club Lux Frágil.

Tastebuds teased. Senses seasoned. Long-time friends Fernanda Arrau and Balam collide once again. This time making their debut on Pets, they proceed to refresh our palates with a whole new set of sonic spices. 

Taking off where they left us on United Colors Of Rhythm with Baila, the longstanding Spanish/Argentinian connection serve up 'Sabor A Disco'. Translating to disco flavours, it lives up to its name with a whole bombardment of acid spices and techno aromas. Slow roasted for full hypnotic effect, your dancefloor will be chewing for hours on this one. 

It's backed up by the equally tasty 'Dinho'. A hearty percussive strew of South American instruments, marinated in fiery Latin heat, it's another high energy example of the two producer's skills and strengths; Fernanda brings her warm, emotional grooves while Balam brings that driving momentum and weight. 

For added measure, and a very sweet final course, Musumeci brings an enlightening remix twist to 'Dinho'. Also making his debut on Catz n' Dogz label, the Italian techno trooper brings a completely different twist to the track with a breakdown that will leave you hungry for more. 

Flavours don't come much fuller than this. Bon appetite!

Eitan Reiter brings a new dimension to this epic cover version of a 90s classic while DJ T. returns to Get Physical Music with a signature remix. 

Eitan Reiter produces and releases genre-crossing electronic and electro-acoustic music. He has done so for 20 years both solo and as part of projects like LOUD but also, famously, in collaboration with Sebastian Mullaert on labels like Mule Musiq. He is an experienced sound designer and mixing engineer who goes down a nostalgic route here and as a result, has cooked up a real party anthem. 

This new version of the 90s classic is defined by rave-ready stabs with talk box vocals that bring retro-future appeal. Acid lines weave in and out of the metallic drums as the famous chords and female cries arrive to blow up the club. 

DJ T. is on a brilliant run of form that has seen the enduring underground talent start a new label, new alias, and continue to serve up fresh tracks on the label he co-founded over 20 years ago. His remix totally overhauls the original. It is steely and stripped back to a muscular groove and peppered with dark hits and edgy chords. It's tribal and hypnotic and perfect for heads-down dancing. 

This is a fresh package from Get Physical Music which offers both nostalgia and futurism.
