This cutting-edge facility features commercial-grade equipment, an advanced multimedia system with live demonstration cameras, and space for 25 students per class. Designed in collaboration with St. Pius X’s instructor chefs, the new kitchen mirrors professional culinary environments, ensuring students gain hands-on experience that prepares them for real-world success.

In this special podcast episode, the EMSB celebrates Pierre Elliott Trudeau Elementary School teacher Ms. Arianne Asly-Verdon (Mme Arianne), a bilingual music educator whose joyful, inclusive approach has transformed music education at her school.

Through creativity, play, and digital music-making, Mme Arianne empowers students to express themselves, build confidence, and develop emotional awareness. Her lessons blend music theory, culture, and technology, using tools like Chrome Music Lab and BeepBox, and encouraging performances in French, English, and sign language.

From composing video game soundtracks to leading school-wide Talent Shows and inclusive holiday concerts, she creates safe, inspiring spaces where every student feels heard. A dedicated advocate for arts education, she has also personally invested in instruments and resources to build a thriving music program.

Ms. Asly-Verdon was formally presented with this honour on December 15 by Alexandre Boulerice, Member of Parliament for Rosemount–La Petite-Patrie.
