Lauren made her DJ debut at Rise Wellness Festival at the beginning of September, in the summer of 2023.

Her set didn't get recorded but thankfully I was able to track down her playlist, which was till ordered.  In Honour, along Lo's spirit, last night my daughter and I blended, mixed and recorded it for all to enjoy.

What an incredible set she put together.  She absolutely rocked her debut.  WOW.

CANTO LUZ means "Song of Light".

Truly the voice of an Angel and a masterful musician, who we miss dearly, and who we will feel eternally, in her new form, dancing, soaring, delighting in the Magnificence of Creation.

fun little mix i just made (:

My style has always been evolving, as it should.  I’m def a chameleon with my varied musical tastes and I’ve been honing my style with the intention to create a mix that’s equally diverse, cohesive and concise.  Something chill, meditative and energetic, that incorporates sound healing elements and is also highly danceable.  I’ve touched on it in other creations but I feel like I’ve finally done it with this one.  A ceremony of sound, healing sound, weaving together a tapestry of appealing sonic textures.

This art was created with the intention to be listened to in full, in one sitting, or standing, but ideally dancing (:  Without listening from beginning to end, it’s not the same, it’s incomplete, you don’t get the full context.  That’s how you journey.  And this is a journey, through sound.  Also requires a patient ear, that’s how this works.

If you’re into this sort of thing, I invite you to create some scared space, maybe some medicine if that’s your thing too, and really drop in.

Music has been my main medicine during these times.  When the walls feel like they’re closing in, I make art, I enjoy art, I share art.

CANTO LUZ Celebration of Life @ Star River Sactuary w/ HeartSun & Laurita Love (May 3 2025 )

I am super excited to share my/our ecstatic dance set from the Friday afternoon/evening at RISE Wellness Festival.  It was such an Honour to collaborate with my dear soul sister, ecstatic dance extraordinaire and festival founder Laurita Love.  A powerhouse woman, SUPER LADY, that dons many hats and titles.  Our set was so much fun, in large part thanks to all the dancers/epic humans that showed up and really dropped in!

I kicked off the set with a tribute to my bestie Lauren Cote, a recording of her angelic voice animating a very sacred song she often sung in ceremony.   Last time I attended Rise, Lauren and I were in partnership.  This stirred precious memories and opened up deep wells of grief and sorrow intermingled with the ecstatic highs of joyful bliss.  Her spirit was so present and palpable throughout the festival, weaving her magic from beyond the veil.  Rise is where Lauren made her DJ debut in 2023 and witnessing the joy on her face was the most precious of things, seared in my memory, something I’ll always carry with me.

We will always remember you LoLo and we miss you! 🌹♥️✨
