2025 Re-press of this classic EP by Marcello Giordani! This one was originally released on vinyl back in 2006 on our now defunct sub-label “Players Paradise” and was one of the first ever releases by Marcello Giordani who went on to become a household name in the scene and a man of many successes. Currently he is making waves with his “Italo Deviance Music” label and productions under his alias “I/D”.

Get in these three fine cuts again in a superb re-mastered quality. From the Italo inspired “Narcos” to the deeper and darker B-side Disco gems “Change Position” and “Prova 2”. We are sure these tracks will rock your dance floors again this spring and summer. Enjoy!

With the opener “Twisted Signal” this EP sets the pace and tone to spiraling and pulsating sines, great grooves and
hypnotic vocal use. Dark dance floor material at it’s best! Followed by the deep “Spiral Highway” the a-side is one long live jam.
On the b-side we take back the pace and make it groovy-er with the House cut “Open Your Eyes” in a true classic “Revenge” style. Closing out with the excellent lush journey that is “Your Life”, bringing back again his great vocal sample use and adding deep soulful chord flavors.

J. Peacock is back for the Dirt Crew Summer take over once more! After his last collab release with Laurence Guy on “Shall Not Fade” in March this year we are delighted to welcome him again with four new deep and funky tunes.

“I’m Doing Just Fine”  is all about the strings. There's a certain feeling in northern soul records – cinematic, bittersweet – and sampling that energy became the starting point for the whole EP. On this track, the vocal hides just behind the strings, giving it a hazy feel. A loopy, dreamlike cut nods to the 2016 lo-fi house era. “Keep Running ” has a swelling, string-led groove built around a hypnotic soul sample. “Deep Burnt” is one of J. Peacock’s all-time favourite tracks and a big influence here. Urgent and euphoric, a driving rhythm with strings to carry the emotional weight.

“Can’t Go Nowhere” is a slower, more restrained moment on the EP. Inspired by the likes of Cottam, Mark E, and Tiger & Woods, this is a chugging, early-hours builder made for warm-up sets and low ceilings. A nod to the art of holding back just enough to keep people moving. “Hometime” brings together two of his favourite things: dusty soul samples and the raw grit of the MS-20. The analogue synth gives the track it’s edge, the bassline is constantly shifting and alive while the smoothness of the sample keeps everything in check.

We are very pleased to welcome a new artist to the Dirt Crew Recordings roster!

London based “Clive From Accounts” caught our attention with his last release on Fouk’s “Outplay” imprint in 2020 and we are excited to present you with his new EP “Cooking the Books”.

The opener “Toucan” is a lush deep house joint, mixing frantic percussion with drunken synths, and as Clive describes it himself “A bit like taking Night Nurse and going on safari”. We love the spacey atmosphere of this track so much! For “Gravitate”, Clive made a dreamy yet danceable tune using dusty old records repurposed with a sprinkling of modular percussion and trouser-flapping subs. This one really caught our attention and has a very unique style, reminiscent of early “Groove Armada” and “Röyksopp”.

The shimmering “Altar” is organic and emotional, using purely analog synthesis and “Stewart-Lee-grade repetition”, which gives this EP a deep diversity in terms of styles and sounds. Exactly what we want Dirt Crew Recordings to be in this day and age.

We top things off with a deep and subby 2-Step / House remix by our own, Toronto’s best “Dan Only”. He transformed “Toucan” into a grimey dancefloor beast, leading up towards a great breakdown where the spacey strings and pads from the original shine in an old school 90s light. Sonic delights all the way! Enjoy!

We start the new year with a very exciting talent from South Africa! Johannesburg resident KaySoul started his career in 2010
and has since been growing his name and fanbase with releases on Berlin’s Tooman and upcoming on “Shall Not Fade” later this year.

The opener “Mr Ray in Cosmic” hits all “good times” boxes for us, a great deep and up-tempo house track that will surely work perfectly on any late night dance floor. Followed by the soul laden slow mover “Behind One”, here you can hear KaySoul’s love for the early Detroit and Chicago house movement, great diversity in sound and a cool crossover of hip hop/ soul and deep house. The third track is our personal favourite, a deep and dwelling house jam that reminiscences the legacy of producers like Kerri Chandler and Larry Heard. 
That bass line is irresistible!

To top things off we asked our good friend Clive to put his magic accounting skills on “Behind One”. Out came a perfect house meets garage meets deep electronic goodness. A real grower and as soon as you finished listening to it that melody is stuck in your head for hours and hours… we are really grateful to have him back on this EP after his dope “Cooking the Books EP” from last summer on Dirt Crew.

Our man in London is back on the label! Exactly 1 year after his first release on Dirt Crew and two very successful records on his own new imprint “Income Trax” and the New York based “Razor-N-Tape” label. Clive has been consistently growing his following this past year and refining his sound and production. So now we are truly excited to welcome him back, especially as this release will also be on a limited 12” vinyl.

The opener “Pearls” features the amazingly talented London based musician/ composer Jessica Roch on violin and vocals. It’s an uplifting electronica meets deep house track that shines with positivity and beautiful melodies based on an analogue synth foundation by Clive himself. Truly a new addition to Clive’s musical language.

The A2 track “4 Time” is a swinging groover featuring a lush deep beat topped with piano and strings stabs and consisting of great funk all over. Followed be the super fun “Rough and Tough” as first track on then B side. Clive really gives us his new summer anthem here as far as we are concerned. Dance floor happiness guaranteed and we can’t wait to hear this one in an open field and on a big sound system!

As a treat for all fans, we decided to give “Gravitate” the well-deserved vinyl spot as the closing track to this great new record. This jam got massive support over the last months and is Clive’s best performing track on the digital platforms. Here we remastered it especially for vinyl and it sounds doper than ever! Enjoy!

We are delighted to present to you yet another up and coming artist to the Dirt Crew family. Petals In Sound’s style is best described as a refreshing mix of deep electronics and atmospheric deep house.

This whole release represents a theme of change and a sense of being ‘reborn’. The 2020 pandemic changed everything for everyone and for Petals In Sound this included becoming a mother and embracing a new lifestyle. After more than a decade of living, working and partying in south east London, 2022 Petals In Sound made the move to the Merseyside coastal suburb of Crosby, Liverpool to create a new life for her family.

‘Citrus’ the opener of the EP delves into the changes brought by pregnancy. A powerful droning synth and heavy bass drive the track but always keeping it at a gentle pace and making it the perfect late night deep closing jam. The title track ‘See the Morning Light’ reflects letting go and embracing what new life brings. With the great piano opening it catches immediate attention and when that bass line picks you up this track evolves into a beautiful “summer” tune, uplifting and full of positivity. Her last new tune ‘Slack Jazz // Your Love’ is a lil dance floor anthem which brings synths-a-plenty and a driving bass hook creating lots of energy. Here as well the originality of Petals In Sound shines through the whole track and makes her style stand out.

Last but certainly not least we asked our new crew member KaySoul to rework “See the Morning Light”. He used the main piano loop, vocal snips and added his typical jackin’ beats, cut up style and soulful touch we love so much in his productions. We are pretty sure this track also has the perfect “cool” vibe for a hot steamy party in or outside. Enjoy!

We have a very special new artist for you from Berlin. Dutch native Pete Bandit relocated to Berlin some years ago where we first met in 2018 when he was part of the “Times Are Ruff” collective. They contributed a track on Dirt Crew for our “Deep Love 2018” compilation. Now recently going solo he developed his sound even more towards Detroit-ish house with dabs of techno and a bit of high tech jazz in there as well. This debut EP offers Loads of deep soulful grooves, spiritual “computer” music at it’s best!

The A-side “Wild Feelings” is such a beautiful opener to this record, with it’s lush spread out intro it paves the way with that perfect mood for what is to come, a mix of soul, funk and electronics and overall well crafted deepness. The keys on this one were contributed by the mysterious “Nelson of the East” topped with vocals by Pete himself. “It’s Happening Again” continues the story with soulful deep house textures and this one especially reminds us a lot of those early 90s Chicago/ New York House gems, the track is building towards a great breakdown key change and with its atmospheric strings and pads it’s a truly uplifting “Good Times” tune.

On the flip we have “Computer’s Creativity”. This track picks up the pace and is centered around a funky, almost slap like, bass line. Here again topped by a vocal add of Pete about “Computer’s Creativity” and with it’s cool break this one will also be a sure floor filler, guaranteed! The closing track on this record is the driving “Luv Your Body”, great percussion guides us through a loose set arrangement and make this one a perfect late hours or early mornings tune in any mix, it could go on forever!

Clive From Accounts is finally back on Dirt Crew Recordings! After some excellent contributions and remixes for the highly acclaimed New York based “Razor-N-Tape” imprint, he graced us again with three new gems that show the great diversity in his productions. Since his first “Cooking the Books EP” in 2021 and the follow up “Pearls EP” in 2022 he has continued to build a strong following of fans, so we know for sure a lot of you have been waiting on new tracks by him.

The uplifting opener “That Rhythm” is a smooth deep house roller with chopped up dusty samples, inspired by the US and French masters but with a heavy UK sub bass added. Following up is the wonderfully crafted “Maceo”, a groovy instrumental jazz funk workout built around the genius of The JBs legends Fred Wesley and Maceo Parker. 

Closing out this new EP is the acid laden and also title track “Clive by Night”, deep and lush house music that we love him for since his first release on our label, here he’s finding joy in deep evolving repetition, it’s an ode to the 303 and Xpander. Best played at night. 

Get in these 3 new hitters from Clive now, we are looking forward to hear these played out in dark clubs and wide open fields this late summer and golden fall. Enjoy!

We first introduced these strapping young house aficionados from Sligo, Ireland, with their debut EP as a pair, “Street Urchin”, a little over a year ago. Since then the guys have been busy with a massive release on Detroit Swindle’s label Heist, not to mention their unbridled musical passion lead them to launch their own label Splendor & Squalor beginning of this year, kicking things off with a sell out vinyl only pressing of another four track EP of their own imaginings featuring a hot remix from Session Victim. 

We’re pleased to share with you their latest creation, the stunning “Lamaj’s Secret EP”. Now, we’re not sure who Lamaj is exactly, but the mystery, funk and raw sex appeal in these four jams certainly has us wondering. 

First up we meet “Lamaj”, this track drips with delicate melodic samples, jazz tainted drums and bass driven funk galore. We asked our long time friend, Australian Andy Hart, to give it a flip for us on A2. He opened things up, deepened the vibe and brought some bass toms to deliver a final punch. The B-side begins with “Four Lights”, here the guys slow things down a little and remind us of their gift for nostalgia touched soul and groove samples. Finally, “Garlic Fist Pump”, as the name suggests, takes us straight back out to the dance floor, between the dynamic live drums, subtle vocal snips cry to the hip hop Brame & Hamo draw so much inspiration from. Welcome to the House of Lamaj, we hope you’ll take off your coat and stay a while.
