I make these mixes in Ableton for a bit of fun and a rest from making a track or remix for a label etc. I love seeing what mashups and edits i can make on the go even giving myself ideas for future use of samples and music. This is really a cut and paste mix using intros, loops and beats to make a mix between each track. There is no rhyme or reason for each track, i literally throw tracks into Mixed In Key and arrange from there.

Although we had a power outage during my set due to me triggering too many Jim Morrison samples. I managed to stitch in the musical moment we missed. 

Hope you enjoy this set, it sure was a special one for me and I was lucky to have recovered from a Multiple Sclerosis flair up just in time for the show.  I honestly believe that the power of Yothu Yindi's music helped me break through and healed me whilst producing the music for our transmission show, that you can hear at the end of the set.  The deep mediative corroboree sounds helped me so much, I hope they touch you too.

About the CD:
002 of the Classic Mix CD Series and yet another absolute stand out classic. After getting into house at around 15, I guess my only source of info was Danny Rampling's seminal LGDP (Love Groove Dance Party) Saturday nights on Radio 1. However I can't remember Carter getting much coverage on there, yet he, much like Danny Tenaglia seemed to have a level of legend unlike most. This CD cemented my love of house music with an all might smash in the face. The tempo, the bass, the disco, the filters, and fucked up vocals... this was heavyweight. Nothing could compete at the time. I'll always remember driving to college with my 2 nerdy class mates and insisting they played this CD in the car. I'm raving in the back and they are like "What the fuck is this shit, turn it down!". It's with immense pleasure that DJ's like Sneak and Carter seem to be booking all the massive clubs and parties again. I'm not so keen on the whole 'I'm a House Gangster' vibe... but this is as bad as it gets.
