Woscom 2.1 is an atmospheric melodic techno track with chilling piano chords, dissonant basslines and a vocal that will bring back memories of Mortal Combat’s “finish him” vocal. Our next premiere comes from DJ Moonbeam, and is the first drop on SITU, a newly formed Lobster Theremin sub-label. DJ Moonbeam has been known to craft hazy cuts that drift through different shades of the Deep House spectrum. Apus De Soare showcases the producers evolving sound and ability to create tunes that are as apt for the dancefloor as they are for the home. 

Our fave is the title track Apus De Soare. It’s a slow burner with massive filter swoops and stabby chord rhythms. As the track progresses, you feel yourself leaving dancefloor as you ascend out of orbit and into space. Cosmic waves of arpeggiated synths find their way careening the mix, while the thumpy bassline steadies the ship throughout its voyage. Moonbeam has honed an eclectic palette of Deep House sounds and distilled it into something uniquely his own.

Demonstrating Tom's production versatility, Tom veers away from his usual tip with Ascension emitting pure hair raising vibes - building to a steely Blade Runner-esque crescendo.

Stenocactus crispatus is native to broad swathes of Mexico’s Chihuahuan Desert, specifically the Northern and Central areas of Hidalgo, Querétaro, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Guanajuato, Tlaxcala, and Puebla. Colloquially known as the “Brain Cactus” due to its unique undulating ribs, Stenocactus crispatus can be found primarily in xerophilous pastizal ecosystems as well as open piñon-juniper woodlands. Stenocactus crispatus is a solitary plant, meaning it rarely branches, and is covered in wavy ribs protected by long flattened spines. Regarded as an ideal specimen for home cultivation, it produces small yet vividly attractive magenta and pale pink flowers when in bloom.

Our botanists strive to source and produce high-quality specimens to enrich your mind as well as your ears. After many months in the field our team has returned with a diverse selection of sonic seedlings. Following a series of meticulous experiments in our research facility each seedling has been deemed safe for general propagation and cleared for release.
