First off, if you're reading this, thank you. For more of my life than not, I've wanted to 'make it' as a rapper. Over the years, my definition for making it has transformed, molded by honesty with myself and maturing to a level that allows me to see this artform for what it is. As of today, writing this to you, I feel if someone took the time to read this, then most likely they have already cared enough to listen the album. That anyone ever cared to hear me out is my only requisite for success. The rest is extra credit.

NMD@TPH is not my magnum opus. It's probably not my best work, and it's certainly not my favorite, but it is my first full length solo album, and could be the only full length solo album I ever do. What this album is to me is an accomplishment. It's more than just a complete thought, but rather a complete story. As an artist, I firmly believe my writing in the past has always maintained a kind of honesty to it, to which this album is no exception, but I will say that this is definitely the most transparent writing I've ever done, providing the clearest insight to who I am and where my head's at. Your first album should tell your story in this way, and I think I did just that.

Thank you to my love, Joleen for climbing out of her frequented nightmare-dreamscape at 3:00 a.m. only to blurt out the words that titled this album and then fall back asleep. Thank you to all my friends new, old, near and far that put rhyme or rhythm on the album, and thank you to all my friends and family who have shaped me. Now, go back to sleep.
