‘Dirty Royal’ are a 4-piece alternative rock band from Durban, South Africa, formed in March 2013. Playing their first gig on the main stage of Splashy Fen 2013, the band quickly developed an underground following in their home town with their energetic and slick live performances. The group currently consists of Mark Norrie (Vocals), Craig jenkins (Guitar and Vocals), Cliffy Paterson (Bass) and Jordan Margaritov (Drums).

 The members of ‘Dirty Royal’ are longstanding contributors to the music scene, with mainstream and underground success in their previous bands.

 'Dirty Royal' have a modern, guitar heavy sound layered with strong vocal hooks and harmonies. Drawing inspiration from a variety of bands, ranging from 'Cage The Elephant', 'Pixies', 'Arctic Monkeys' and 'Kasabian' to 'Queens of the Stone Age', 'Soundgarden', 'Foo Fighters', 'Helmet' and 'Machine Head' as well as other iconic rock bands from the 60s to present day.

 The band have already shared the stage with some of the most influential bands in South Africa while keeping themselves busy with gigs and tours
