The twenty year old Notize from Northern Denmark presents us with his block busting single release “Sip”. After having appeared on legendary labels such as Nervous and Armada, it is now time to grace Great Stuff with his incredible production skills and talent.

It’s all about the sleek pitched down male vocals and funk driven old school effect sounds. Juicy bass notes are providing wicked energy, while the stripped down groove and intense break downs have the dancefloor longing for more then just one sip.

With his last EP offering on Keinemusik, &ME displayed himself once again as supplier of anthems that easily reconcile style with general floor purpose. You would think, such an universal and inexhaustible tune as this very “After Dark” can only be a lucky hit. But no, he’s knocking out the classic material just like that. Another example? Catalog number KM028, his brandnew “Trilogy” EP.
The titletrack on A initially places a synth arpeggio behind a kick that in dryness is hardly to excel. The beat of "Trilogy" is then seasoned with rimshot patterns until the saturated bassdrum comes in and paves the way to the dancefloor. &ME even refines his knack for stoic grooves on this jam and once again shows his sure feeling for suitable vocal features. Sabotas croon comes devoid of big gestures and still knows the ropes to appeal to the collective mentality of a clubcrowd.
On the flipside, “Woods” is living up to its name from the very beginning. Woody percussions are thumping within an almost subtropical scenario that’s frequently pervaded by mighty synth clouds. And once again, there’s an arpeggio sneaking in that at some point is taking the lead in this strictly instrumental affair. Add a break building that will educe a floor’s complete euphoric potential without going for the rather mindless escalation and there you have it: a B-side that’s actually more of an A-competitor.

As one of our most beloved Dirtybird Players, Justin Martin travels the world week in and week out putting smiles on people's faces, always with an even bigger grin of his own. With his sophomore album, 2016's 'Hello Clouds', Justin proved that it's more than just fun and games - he's a seriously talented producer. 

His songwriting skills were on display with unique vocalists Charlotte OC, FEMME, and Lena Cullen, and his production chops were flawless on his solo tracks and collaborations with Kill Frenzy, Will Clarke, Ardalan and his brother Christian Martin.

Hello Clouds debuted at #1 on the iTunes Dance chart and Beatport's album chart, and hit #15 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums Chart the week after its release; these stats are a testament to the brilliance of the album and the way its diverse sounds resonated with fans both old and new.

While it can be argued that the original album was largely for listeners, there's no doubt that the Hello Clouds remixes are squarely aimed at DJs and dance floors the world over. Justin hand-picked the twelve artists who he thought would best reinterpret his work and, as with the original album, he's knocked it out of the park here.

Fellow Dirtybird Ardalan's epic version of the title track diverges from the basement vibes of Jakwob's mix, while the Christian Martin collab 'Midnight' sees a new day courtesy of both party-starters Soul Clap and life-of-the-party Doorly.

Justin opened his Campout set with Walker & Royce's explosive mix of 'The Feels', which also gets reworked by UK hero Low Steppa, and UK also gets another representation with Redlight’s mix of “Wet Cat'

South Africa's Kyle Watson turns the moody 'Odyssey' into a peak-time monster, while Little By Little gives us both a vocal and dub mix of the equally sultry 'Rabbit Hole.' Fresh-faced producer Lenny Kiser leaves his mark on the Charlotte OC single as well. 

Rounding out the package is a bona fide jungle remix of 'Back to the Jungle' by the drum-n-bass icon DJ Marky, along with a massive remix of the same tune from the one and only Chris Lorenzo.

The duo AZ&TOR, aka Aisha Zoe & Rich Main, were thrown into the limelight by BBC’s Introducing series, tipped as ones to watch, and releasing their debut ‘Resend’ via Madtech’s fortnightly free download series. The producer / singer outfit return to the label here with a full length EP, joining the likes of Citizen, Voyeur, Waze & Odyssey and Krystal Klear on the roster.

The EP kicks off with the original version of title track ‘Sit Back’, a contemporary deep-house workout, drenched with soul and cossetting warmth. Aisha’s heartfelt vocal lines brilliantly meander around the sturdy groove’s foundations, built upon organic piano chord progressions, bright string melodies and bubbling sub tones. ‘Feels Like’ follows, embracing a similar aesthetic with hypnotic, warbling synth melodies, shuffling, off- kilter drums and sensual vocal lines, jazzy sax licks add a further musicality to the cut, building to a focal point, where an elongated, penetrating bass takes things up a notch, resulting in a heady peak-time house number.

Next up is ‘Carry Mine’, displaying a more ethereal side to the duo’s productions with brooding pads, resonant synth lines, broken-beat drum programming and a contemporary house feel, achieved through an amalgamation of urban vocal lines.
Following their critically acclaimed ‘Crying Wolf’ EP which preceded this release, No Artificial Colours step in to rework, ‘Sit Back’, the duo stamp their signature low-slung, house meets garage sound on the original record, with hooky bass, heavily swung snares and murmuring chops of the original vocal. To close the release Polkadot turns in a mix of ‘Sit Back’, putting things on a New Jersey tip with raw 909 drums, Hammond organ tones and gritty saw-wave bass action.

You know Dirtybird for dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.

The fun family vibe of the Dirtybird label can be traced back to a free event started in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This new kind of house music went against the smooth vocal house that was popular at the time and derived its influences mostly from hip-hop, drum n bass, and American funk. The free outdoor BBQ party was very rough around the edges but eventually became legendary amongst the people of San Francisco. This event was also a very influential factor in the decision by Claude VonStroke to start the record label in 2005.

Today, Dirtybird has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has expanded into events and tour production. As it grows, the brand continues to expand beyond music into merchandise, licensing and artist management. In 2015, Dirtybird launched the inaugural Dirtybird Campout festival, which has been dubbed “Summer Camp For Adults”, and Dirtybird has been recognized from their achievements by being awarded "Underground Label of the Year" at the International Dance Music Awards, “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag, “Best North American Label” by DJ Mag, and Billboard’s "Top 5 Independent Dance Labels".
