Our next release on Strangelove comes from a returning favourite of ours; E.R.N.E.S.T.O, this time joining forces with Californian-based DJ and producer, Morelia, to deliver their brand new single; 'Loca'. 

Both artists have well-established themselves within the Tech House community with successful releases on labels including Toolroom, Dirtybird, Bunny Tiger, Punks, Psycho Disco!, Box Of Cats and garnering support from AAA DJs; Claude Vonstroke, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Christian Martin and Shiba San to name a few. 

'Loca' does not disappoint; showcasing both artists unique production techniques offering trippy vocals, hypnotic basslines, signature percussion and a terrifically woozy blend of swirling synth motifs that take you to another dimension. Enjoy!

-How long have you been creating music?
I have been producing music for about 5 years.

-What do you use to make your tracks?
Ableton Live, high quality samples, VSTs I use are the conventional ones, Sylenth1, Serum, Nexus and the most important: creativity!

 -How and when did you first discover Dirtybird?
I Discovered Dirtybird in 2019 after I heard ‘This is My Flow’ By Illusionize.

 -Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most?
Illusionize.

-If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you?
The Miracle.

-What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
Unfortunately I have not been to concerts.

-If you could time travel, where and when would you go?
August 23, 2003 - Red Hot Chilli Peppers at Slane Castle, my father showed me this concert on a dvd, my favorite band :)

 -What species of bird best describes you and why?
A woodpecker hahaha I grew up watching the read-headed troublemaker.

-What does Dirtybird mean to you?
a family that unites people with their own unique vision, through the expression of art without any limits!

One of our first releases of 2019 was 'Grape' from Mozambique artist The Unnamed which caught fire instantly and gained massive support becoming our most played track, currently sitting at over 17,000 plays. A huge accomplishment for us in only a years time. We've decided to come back this time around with the 'Grape' (VIP) & Remixes from Maputo, Mozambique up and comer Ezy Jr, who brings us his vibed out and smooth take on the tune. Brunswick, Germany's one and only GiddiBangBang also blessed us with his version, which takes you on a trip full of surprises from beginning to end.

PVJAMVS - That Beat

You know Dirtybird for dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.

The fun family vibe of the Dirtybird label can be traced back to a free event started in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This new kind of house music went against the smooth vocal house that was popular at the time and derived its influences mostly from hip-hop, drum n bass, and American funk. The free outdoor BBQ party was very rough around the edges but eventually became legendary amongst the people of San Francisco. This event was also a very influential factor in the decision by Claude VonStroke to start the record label in 2005.

Today, Dirtybird has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has expanded into events and tour production. As it grows, the brand continues to expand beyond music into merchandise, licensing and artist management. In 2015, Dirtybird launched the inaugural Dirtybird Campout festival, which has been dubbed “Summer Camp For Adults”, and Dirtybird has been recognized from their achievements by being awarded "Underground Label of the Year" at the International Dance Music Awards, “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag, “Best North American Label” by DJ Mag, and Billboard’s "Top 5 Independent Dance Labels".
