-How long have you been creating music?
I first dabbled in Ableton in 2016 when I took a production course at a place called MMMMaven in Cambridge, Massachusetts. But I didn't get serious about producing until quarantine 2020, so about 5 years. Crazy to think that 2020 was 5 years ago! 

-What do you use to make your tracks?
Ableton Live 11

-How and when did you first discover Dirtybird?
2016. I was living in Boston which is where my DJ journey began, and I started to meet other DJs and house music enthusiasts (which was hard to do at the time because House wasn't as popular as it is now). My first real tech house show was Shiba San at Bijou in Boston, and that was the gateway to finding Claude Vonstroke and the rest of the Dirtybird crew, who I ended up seeing play at that same club about a month later.

-Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most?
Too many to choose from! I would be grateful to collab with any one of them, but some names that come to mind are Ardalan, Walker & Royce, Nala, Freqish, German Brigante, and J. Worra.

-If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you?
Analyzing Everything From Every Angle All of the Time

-What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
This isn't very EDM of me but I'd have to say Ludacris. Overall a fantastic performer and a great MC. He had us cracking up in between songs.

-If you could time travel, where and when would you go?
Ideally I would like to be able to experience many different times and places. Medieval times, caveman times, the Renaissance period in the 1400-1500s, and every decade of the 20th century. But if I have to pick just one I would say the Renaissance period in Italy in the 1400s.

-What species of bird best describes you and why?
A Raven because they are considered one of the most observant birds. Good observation skills translate to reading the dancefloor too. 

-What does Dirtybird mean to you?
Dirtybird to me is all about having fun and not taking things too seriously. On the music side of things I think its all about pushing boundaries and really testing our production abilities (aka making some weird a** sounds).

You know Dirtybird for dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.

The fun family vibe of the Dirtybird label can be traced back to a free event started in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This new kind of house music went against the smooth vocal house that was popular at the time and derived its influences mostly from hip-hop, drum n bass, and American funk. The free outdoor BBQ party was very rough around the edges but eventually became legendary amongst the people of San Francisco. This event was also a very influential factor in the decision by Claude VonStroke to start the record label in 2005.

Today, Dirtybird has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has expanded into events and tour production. As it grows, the brand continues to expand beyond music into merchandise, licensing and artist management. In 2015, Dirtybird launched the inaugural Dirtybird Campout festival, which has been dubbed “Summer Camp For Adults”, and Dirtybird has been recognized from their achievements by being awarded "Underground Label of the Year" at the International Dance Music Awards, “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag, “Best North American Label” by DJ Mag, and Billboard’s "Top 5 Independent Dance Labels".
