Oh Club Tools... We've been waiting for you for months, years even. Our grandparents told us stories of the EP that changed the world. The ancient settlers of the Western World shared beliefs in a force that united us all, which is now readily available in the form of a single Club Tool.

And what do we have here? 7 of these monster weapons that were each created in a top secret laboratory to serve one purpose and one purpose only: wrecking dance floors. We have curated a line up of artists that were hand picked by the HP team to whip up some absolutely disgusting bass lines, body jerking drum kits, and mind splitting synthesizers that all together create the exact vibe that we embodied when we started Hood Politics.

This release is an ode to the party starters, the after hour champions, and everyone who has ever been considered a luxurious snack on the dance floor.

-How long have you been creating music?

PAPA MARLIN: If we talk about electronic music, then I have been doing it for about five years! In the past, I did hip-hop and alternative rock! And after a while, I devoted myself to electronic music, especially house music! I think I made the right choice!

-What do you use to make your tracks?

PM: Today it won't sound crazy anymore, but I just need a computer and headphones to make a good track! Ahh, and of course an FL Studio!



-How and when did you first discover Dirtybird?

PM: About four years ago I really liked the music of Justin Martin! This man has a very good taste for electronic music! Then I heard the track "Okay" of Shiba San and this track won me over too! Then I saw on what label these tracks are released! And so far I have not ceased to be a fan of the "DIRTYBIRD" label!



-Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most?

PM: Hmmm. Justin Martin, Claude VonStroke, Will Clarke, Fisher. Yes, with these men, I would have worked! But for me, of course, the main thing is a good idea!

-If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you?

PM: 5th element!

-What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?

PM: I grew up in a poor family and I did not have the opportunity to go to big concerts! But a few years ago I was at a big festival in our country and there were a lot of very good rock bands there and it was very exciting! And now there is no time! ;))) But I try to allocate time for this!

-If you could time travel, where and when would you go?

PM: I want to go in the future! In times when we will meet with alien beings!

-What species of bird best describes you and why?

PM: Hmmm Maybe a black swan, because I am a rare creature. ;))))

-What does Dirtybird mean to you?

PM: First of all, this is a great team! People with a great taste for music. With cool ideas that they conquer the hearts of many people and cultivate a good taste for electronic music! I also want to say a very important thing! You don't care how many followers a musician has, but his music is important to you! And you pay attention to beginners guys. And therefore give them a very strong inspiration and faith in yourself! And I am very grateful to you for this! Because I'm among them! Thank you very much DIRTYBIRD Team!

You know Dirtybird for dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.

The fun family vibe of the Dirtybird label can be traced back to a free event started in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This new kind of house music went against the smooth vocal house that was popular at the time and derived its influences mostly from hip-hop, drum n bass, and American funk. The free outdoor BBQ party was very rough around the edges but eventually became legendary amongst the people of San Francisco. This event was also a very influential factor in the decision by Claude VonStroke to start the record label in 2005.

Today, Dirtybird has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has expanded into events and tour production. As it grows, the brand continues to expand beyond music into merchandise, licensing and artist management. In 2015, Dirtybird launched the inaugural Dirtybird Campout festival, which has been dubbed “Summer Camp For Adults”, and Dirtybird has been recognized from their achievements by being awarded "Underground Label of the Year" at the International Dance Music Awards, “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag, “Best North American Label” by DJ Mag, and Billboard’s "Top 5 Independent Dance Labels".
