After triumphantly winning Mixmag's Label of the Decade poll with his beloved Dirtybird clan, there's no denying the adoration for Claude VonStroke. It might be hard to believe that it's been two years since we received an original production from the maestro, but thankfully, the drought has finally come to an end with his brand new collaborative EP called 'Works Well With Others'. The first to arrive is his work with Will Clarke - a bearded and beloved rising star of the eclectic label - on a track called 'Tiny Tambourine'. Although the title says 'Tiny', there's no denying the bumping power of this brand new, classically thumping VonStroke tune.

Some birds fly South for the winter, especially with this cold snap going on right now! After three unbelievable years of the Dirtybird Campout at our West Coast home, we’re taking the show to Florida with our biggest lineup yet.

For the cross-country journey, we packed 8 brand new tracks in the Dirtybird Campout East Coast Compilation from several of the artists that will be playing the Birdhouse stage during the weekend.

The compilation leads off with a cover of the classic Brazilian internet meme by MP4 in 2000, “Books Is On The Table”, most recently covered by Marshall Applewhite. This bumpy new cover takes us back to Brazil - Home of Bruno Furlan with help from Claude VonStroke on the production. Nick Monaco gives us some “Drama”, and we welcome Justin Jay back with his bouncy single “Oii Oii Oiiii”. Maximono’s “No Joke” is literally that, and BOT reminds us that “Different is Beautiful”. Vangelis Kostoxenakis provides the “Monkey Business”, and Dateless and his brother Lucati show us it’s all about “Team Work”. Dimiz & Baley’s “Raw Motion” was the track Claude dropped during the Family Set, and we couldn’t wait any longer to get this heater out.

Holy Molé returns with a hot 2-tracker from Ocean Roulette & VNSSA, backed up proper with remixes from Morelia, Steve Darko and Sara Landry. Packed with a fusion of club-ready rhythms and warped synths, 'Magic' and 'Blocked Calls' are pure ammo to get your crowds riled up.

Made with the dancefloor in mind, Morelia brings the energy up on his remix of 'Magic' with perfectly dubbed basslines and a breakdown laced with stretched out broken beats. Steve Darko uses a mix of tripped out synths to create a twisted track to stand out in your sets, and to close it out, Sara Landry serves up a pummeling mix of 'Blocked Calls' for the high voltage slots.

Ocean Roulette & VNSSA - Magic (Steve Darko Remix)

Another favorite Brazilian import into the Dirtybird flock, Scavazza, breaks through with “Shake Your Hearts”. Beautiful and somber, it’s easy to get lost in the melodies and delicate vocal. 

To contrast the tenderness of the original we enlisted NYC house icon, Harry Romero, for the remix. We’ve been longtime fans of Harry’s topnotch beats and productions, and he blew us away with his bangin’ interpretation of the original.

As an added bonus track, Scavazza compliments the record with the percussive, minimalist groove of
 “Hey”.

You know Dirtybird for dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.

The fun family vibe of the Dirtybird label can be traced back to a free event started in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This new kind of house music went against the smooth vocal house that was popular at the time and derived its influences mostly from hip-hop, drum n bass, and American funk. The free outdoor BBQ party was very rough around the edges but eventually became legendary amongst the people of San Francisco. This event was also a very influential factor in the decision by Claude VonStroke to start the record label in 2005.

Today, Dirtybird has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has expanded into events and tour production. As it grows, the brand continues to expand beyond music into merchandise, licensing and artist management. In 2015, Dirtybird launched the inaugural Dirtybird Campout festival, which has been dubbed “Summer Camp For Adults”, and Dirtybird has been recognized from their achievements by being awarded "Underground Label of the Year" at the International Dance Music Awards, “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag, “Best North American Label” by DJ Mag, and Billboard’s "Top 5 Independent Dance Labels".
