The DIRTYBIRD crew haven’t even had time to take their counsellor uniforms to the dry cleaners post-Campout, but already they’re dishing out more bulletproof slabs of future-flexed acid house.
Will Clarke mans the controls: Making his Dirtybird debut in January with “Badness” on DIRTYBIRD 10, and followed up with the ‘Boogie Woogie’  EP and lazer-snapping “808Frenzy”’ on the ‘DIRTYBIRD BBQ- Grill$on’s Revenge’ collection, the bristly Bristol-based spandex enthusiast has enjoyed a beautiful summer with releases on Defected, Emerald City and Turbo and unforgettable shows across the US, Australia and Europe.
Returning to the label with the bulbous two-track EP ‘Turn It Up’, Clarke does just that: Writhing in carnal groove simplicity, he taps into the roots of timeless, low-down, butt-wriggling house music with three obscene examples of strong-armed tech funk. ‘Can You Funk’ punches with Breach-level hookiness, and ‘Turn It Up’ does the loopy-loop with Dirtybird’s trademark vocal trippiness. 
Keep it turned: Will Clarke has been one of 2015’s most exciting and authentic house music success stories. We can thank DIRTYBIRD for that. Stay tuned for more very soon…

UK-based Jay Robinson makes his debut on Psycho Disco! with the Lopsided EP, containing two tracks that deliver the funk and UK bass influence to a classic 4/4 house / dance beat. Having commandeered his place in the House scene by DJing alongside many reputable DJs, in the best clubs, released on some of Psycho Disco!’s fellow labels, seen plenty of radio time, and more, we’re very proud to have a producer like Jay release material with us. The title track “Lopsided” plays into a shimmying drum loop with enough pomp and wobble perfect for 2017’s House vibe. “ANBG” which we’ll leave you to work out what that stands for, is a verified toe-tapper with an infectious hook. No doubt Jay is well on his way to verified House don status, with two more tracks here to prove it.

[BIRDFEED EXCLUSIVE]  We received this demo of Steady Rock from Bruno Furlan, who emailed us excited about a brand new artist he recently discovered and knew we would too. Claude tested it out the biggest way possible—by opening his set at Dirtybird Campout West Coast with it. 

Steady Rock just so happened to be at the festival and heard his track being played, and the next day he ran into Claude at one of the many Campout activities and told him that was his song. Claude signed it right there, and now here it is for you.

And that is how things happen sometime.

When @franklynwatts approached us earlier this year about working with Box Of Cats we felt he would be a perfect fit. We first set him the task of remixing Kyle Watson's 'Vice Versa' and what he came back with was this timeless acid filled jam donut. It is equal parts delicious and dance floor heater. Since then we have seen his name popping up in all the right places djing and even remixing Walker & Royce on their latest remix album for Dirtybird.

His collaboration with Melbourne based vocalist Sophiegraphy is bouncy, grimey and dripping with filth, while the b side takes you on a techno journey into the depths of Franklyn's mind.

Franklyn Watts has proved himself worthy again and again and we have no doubt this will not be the last time you see his name working with Box Of Cats. Enjoy

You know Dirtybird for dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.

The fun family vibe of the Dirtybird label can be traced back to a free event started in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This new kind of house music went against the smooth vocal house that was popular at the time and derived its influences mostly from hip-hop, drum n bass, and American funk. The free outdoor BBQ party was very rough around the edges but eventually became legendary amongst the people of San Francisco. This event was also a very influential factor in the decision by Claude VonStroke to start the record label in 2005.

Today, Dirtybird has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has expanded into events and tour production. As it grows, the brand continues to expand beyond music into merchandise, licensing and artist management. In 2015, Dirtybird launched the inaugural Dirtybird Campout festival, which has been dubbed “Summer Camp For Adults”, and Dirtybird has been recognized from their achievements by being awarded "Underground Label of the Year" at the International Dance Music Awards, “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag, “Best North American Label” by DJ Mag, and Billboard’s "Top 5 Independent Dance Labels".
