-How long have you been creating music?

-What do you use to make your tracks?

Ableton 



-How and when did you first discover Dirtybird?

I first discovered DirtBird when Christian Martin came to Asylum in Honolulu, and I was throwing a Hilton Lagoon party and Christian came down to my Lagoon party and threw down a dope set. From then on, I always was a DirtyBird Die Hard!!



-Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most?

Christian Martin 



-If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you?

The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button because I’ve done almost everything backwards in my life



-What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?

Grateful Dead at Giant Stadium



-If you could time travel, where and when would you go?

Back to the past when I first started to make music before Ableton with cakewalk and would have made myself continue making music and not stop until a year ago.



-What species of bird best describes you and why?

Eagle because I’m always looking for the next prey (opportunity)



-What does Dirtybird mean to you?

It means fun, amazing talented artists, dedication, professionalism and inspirational and it is my goal to be part of such an amazing Label!!!

-How long have you been creating music?

Started electronic music school in 2013 where I took my first classes in Ableton. Almost 10 years! 



-What do you use to make your tracks?

Ableton mostly, in the box or Pro3, and or recording live instruments. 



-How and when did you first discover Dirtybird?

I heard about it after hearing Claude VonStroke had (or was starting) a label; It's been so long. Thinking back now, it's like a dream. Helps me see even deeper appreciation! I remember all my producer friends raving about it with me, DJs too, since the before of my Ableton education, as a little grom DJ, thank you! 



-Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most?

Claude VonStroke! Oh me oh my. That would be a blessing. Please make it happen, producer gods, someone! :) 



-If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you?

Somewhere between 'Good Will Hunting' and 'Limitless.'  



-What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?

Lovefest in Honolulu back in high school (2010), or Electric Zoo in NYC or Coachella. I also really enjoy reggae, there were a few local concerts way back that I will always remember... somehow. :P 



-If you could time travel, where and when would you go?

The future, whenever we can play sets in other star systems and collaborate with extraterrestrials. :D 





-What species of bird best describes you and why?

A raven or mocking bird. I've been told they are some of my spirit animals (the other is a seal). I like to prank and make jokes, but I'm also mysterious and deep like I grew up with Edgar Allen Poe as my little brother and Odin was our dad.  



-What does Dirtybird mean to you?

High quality, unique, and inspiring. I've always wanted to make music for Dirtybird. Feeling blessed! Hard work pays off!

Coming hot with his Bleep Blop EP is our boy Kevin Knapp! We love this massively rambunctious dude. When we had him out to the festival last year, his world-sized personality fit right in with our extended clan of delinquents.

The release features 2 originals from Kevin, with the A-side toting his signature vocals and the B-side featuring his homegirl Baby Luck.

This week we've got a special release from our good friends Sammy Legs and Britton. 

The EP includes Weak in The Knees and Weebles. Both tracks are infused with psychedelia, keep things nice and trippy over crisp percussion and direct grooves.

You know Dirtybird for dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.

The fun family vibe of the Dirtybird label can be traced back to a free event started in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This new kind of house music went against the smooth vocal house that was popular at the time and derived its influences mostly from hip-hop, drum n bass, and American funk. The free outdoor BBQ party was very rough around the edges but eventually became legendary amongst the people of San Francisco. This event was also a very influential factor in the decision by Claude VonStroke to start the record label in 2005.

Today, Dirtybird has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has expanded into events and tour production. As it grows, the brand continues to expand beyond music into merchandise, licensing and artist management. In 2015, Dirtybird launched the inaugural Dirtybird Campout festival, which has been dubbed “Summer Camp For Adults”, and Dirtybird has been recognized from their achievements by being awarded "Underground Label of the Year" at the International Dance Music Awards, “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag, “Best North American Label” by DJ Mag, and Billboard’s "Top 5 Independent Dance Labels".
