Brazilian artist Bruno Furlan is the next to make his mark on the famed Hot Creations imprint. The two-track release, The Speakers Pump Like This, is set to bring the heat and make serious waves on dancefloors this year. 

After many years of delving into the tech house scene and following his biggest influences such as Jamie Jones, Bruno was able to deliver this standout release. He explains: “Both tracks have 100% of my identity, and without a doubt they were the two most difficult songs I've ever produced for all the context and work I've had to do to get here! Both songs were made with a lot of love. I hope you feel it and jump, throw your hands up and sing the whole time.”

Title track The Speakers Pump Like This transports you straight to the club, with its peak-time pace, sonic synth stabs and prominent vocal cuts. On the flip, Moving gets to work with a sharp kick-drum and infectious vocals, as subtle builds and drops move throughout the track, whilst retaining the solid, rolling groove. 

Hailing from the diverse and electric city of Sao Paulo in Brazil, Bruno Furlan started his DJ career while still a teenager and quickly became a highlight in the Brazilian electronic music scene, capturing the attention of artists such as Claude VonStroke, Chris Lake, Solardo, Green Velvet and Amine Edge & Dance. Always driven by a great love for his art, Bruno has created his own unique way of approaching music production, resulting in a standout discography and performances throughout the world. In addition to his own record label Whistle Records, Bruno has released on labels such as Dirytbird, Relief, CUFF, Sony Music, SOLA, Nervous, South of Saturn and more.

Brazil has been a hotbed of talent for Dirtybird, and we get to add one more to our South American contingent, Volkoder. With an already impressive discography in just a few short years, his new “How I Talked” EP adds to his run of stand-out tech house monsters.

He leads off with “How”, who’s rolling bassline and chanting takes the energy to the next level, while “I Talked” features just as a rumbling of a bass and vocal stabs that keep things going.

Hailing from Barcelona and a resident of the infamous El Row parties, Eddy M returns to Dirtybird with a gigantic single, “Catching Glory”. Eddy made his debut last year with his chart-topping collab with Claude VonStroke, ‘Getting Hot’, and now he’s back on the label with this dynamic single. 

"Eddy is classically trained in jazz & percussion and I can always hear an extra little layer of funk in his tracks. I accidentally sat on this track in my inbox but as soon as I played it one time the crowd reaction was amazing and I saw what a bomb it was. There is something very special about the melodic synth line in the breakdown that builds into the rough and ready drums at the drop. Great track!" - VonStroke

Since launching in early 2019, Dennis Cruz and Eddy M's MÜSE imprint has quickly seen the pairing curate one of the scenes most impressive rising labels - welcoming the likes of Tube & Berger, Piem and Alan Nieves alongside rising talents including Gruuve and Bizen Lopez, whilst also serving as a key outlet to release their own productions and material. Hot on the heels of Cruz's latest stand-out EP, 'KMA', early-August welcomes the debut split EP offering on the label as both co-founders return alongside one another for the very first time to serve up the twotrack 'Show Me / Five'. 

Eddy M's 'Show Me' opens proceedings with authority as the Barcelona-based DJ and producer combines crisp metallic drum lick atop of driving low-end tones and escalating lead lines to deliver a high-energy opening cut, whilst Cruz's bubbling 'Five' employs trademark hooky vocal samples alongside menacing basslines and icy hats to showcase a rolling cut typical of the ever-impressing Spaniard.

You know Dirtybird for dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.

The fun family vibe of the Dirtybird label can be traced back to a free event started in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This new kind of house music went against the smooth vocal house that was popular at the time and derived its influences mostly from hip-hop, drum n bass, and American funk. The free outdoor BBQ party was very rough around the edges but eventually became legendary amongst the people of San Francisco. This event was also a very influential factor in the decision by Claude VonStroke to start the record label in 2005.

Today, Dirtybird has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has expanded into events and tour production. As it grows, the brand continues to expand beyond music into merchandise, licensing and artist management. In 2015, Dirtybird launched the inaugural Dirtybird Campout festival, which has been dubbed “Summer Camp For Adults”, and Dirtybird has been recognized from their achievements by being awarded "Underground Label of the Year" at the International Dance Music Awards, “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag, “Best North American Label” by DJ Mag, and Billboard’s "Top 5 Independent Dance Labels".
