A piece of Electronic Dance Music is usually described as a production. However, in the case of Seth Schwarz the word composition seems to be just much more appropriate. For many years the multi- instrumentalist dedicated his life to classical music – and that is very noticeable when listening to his highly melodic arrangements. Together with various talents from the 3000Grad environment he created an EP that draws its power from a unique feeling of multidimensional complexity. The interplay with Mollono.Bass is an ever-growing stream of escalating melodies and ecstatic filter sweeps that leaves the dance floor in blissful rapture and the DJ with the question how to keep up this extremely high level of energy. The epic soundscape of Dole & Kom provides the perfect setting for weightless violin entries, and the musical excursion with Bebetta leads through a glistening downpour of hi-hats to a mystic horizon.

Wenn es um elektronische Tanzmusik geht, ist normalerweise von Produktionen die Rede. Aber im Falle von Seth Schwarz ist Komposition einfach die bessere Beschreibung. Der Multi-Instrumentalist hat sich viele Jahre mit klassischer Musik beschäftigt, und das ist in seinem melodischen Sound nicht zu überhören. Zusammen mit verschiedenen Talenten aus dem 3000Grad Umfeld ist eine EP entstanden, die ihre Schubkraft und Eingängigkeit einer faszinierenden Vielschichtigkeit verdankt. Die ausufernden Melodien und ekstatischen Filtereskaparden, welche sich im Wechselspiel mit Mollono.Bass entwickeln, konfrontieren die Tanzfläche mit glückseeliger Selbstvergessenheit und den DJ mit der Frage, wie er da noch einen draufsetzen kann. With their second single release from their longplayer "Connected", AKA AKA & Thalstroem invite the singer Jim Hickey into the studio. With his soulful, almost fragile voice Hickey weaves a sound carpet of emotions on the complex beat of AKA AKA & Thalstroem which, with his reduced tempo, builds up an enormous groove until the break. When the guitar play of Thomas Moked unfolds to an inspirational source of harmonies, Hickey's voice starts the prelude to the ecstatic climax of the song.
Dan Caster's remix takes many elements of the original, forces up the tempo and clearly shows that it's meant for the dancefloor. While using the original vocal Caster puts it on a high pitch on the middle part, giving it a serious recognizability; Teenage Mutants divergs quite a bit more from the original and concentrates on his crystal clear bassline and concise drums, which are broken up through spacy layers and wide opening synths and even while having a 4-to-the-floor mix, give time to dream and flow with the music.

Crane & Pheasant is a big package with two brand new Einmusik songs, which are totally different in their style and colour. Crane is a tech-house bomb, which Einmusik already played the last months in his livesets. Hands up and smile proved…you’ll see. Pheasant is a small homage to Einmusik’s personal 80s synth pop era, although it has a clear minimal-groove. Definetely a charming secret weapon at the right moment.

Last but not least this EP is equipped with two massive and heated Crane remixes from Berlin based and well known Dirk Dreyer & Mike Rubin (One Louder Berlin Rec.) and the Italian newcomer Marco Dassi from Varese, who already presented his talent on labels like M_nus and Traktor Rec..
