A brand new 4 Track EP, this collaboration with Childsplay features a bombastic hybrid of trap and classic Dancehall tunes unlike any before it. Traphall is a testament to Chuckie’s vision for Dirty Dutch Music. This incomparable leadership is taking the label into all spectrums of dance music, leaving no stone unturned. Precursing singles, “Vamonos” and “Bang!”, saw the king of Dirty Dutch leave his one-of-a-kind mark within Melbourne Bounce. Chuckie’s highly anticipated follow up came in a larger than life remix of Deadmau5’s seminal “Ghosts ‘N’ Stuff”. Successfully reworking a groundbreaking classic of such notoriety cannot be understated, as it breathed new life for modern audiences without ever losing the allure of its source material. Traphall is Chuckie’s next step into the dance music stratosphere, unleashing an inimitable fusion between styles of vastly different musical backgrounds from the past and the present. 

Starting the EP off on a perfect foot, Chuckie & Childsplay make sure listeners know that it’s all about the mula by making it rain with “Money”. This track sets the mood with charging bass drum kicks and unexpected synth patterns, literally breaking any preconceived genre boundaries with every passing second. The manic, tribal progression never once lets up, maintaining a peak energy level throughout its entirety. Chuckie and Childsplay embark on this audible journey with bass shattering, epic proportions, tantalizing listeners with what’s to come. 

Calming the senses with an eerie, yet infectious vibe is Traphall’s next offering,  “Sensimillia”. The gradual buildup mesmerizes before eventually reaching a climax that never feels out of place. This past December, Chuckie & Childsplay took the dance music collective by storm with their inaugural Traphall EP. The genre bending mix of trap, dancehall, hip hop, reggae, and house still has listeners buzzing to this day. The duo’s innovative musical venture resonated with fans, as Chuckie & Childsplay have now released the second Traphall EP as a free download via Dirty Dutch Music. 

The Traphall series is a testament to Chuckie’s forward thinking vision, offering an inimitable fusion of vastly different musical styles from the past and the present. Starting with the EP’s lead single, “Real Gyallis” feat. Natel, listeners are treated to a soothing vocal progression reminiscent of reggae’s timeless classics. Seamlessly transitioning into the drop, Chuckie & Childsplay introduce a manic progression filled with booming drum kicks and powerful synth lines. These various styles are easily distinguishable, maintaining a natural aura throughout the entire track. 

“Bruk Out” keeps the energy flowing right off the bat. Chuckie & Childsplay blend its distinct vocals with an unexpected synth pattern that never once feels out of place. This track is short, punchy and to the point. By the time “Bruk Out” reaches its conclusion, fans will already be looking to hit repeat again and again. 

“Fade Out” sets a chilled, reggae driven mood as it slowly unfolds. The buildup progresses quickly and hits all the right notes once it drops. This no frills production oozes trap and Dirty Dutch, while receiving a dancehall spin that meshes together flawlessly.

ChildsPlay & Chuckie - Bruk Out -  Traphall EP 2 [DDFR03]

ChildsPlay & Chuckie are back with the latest edition of their unprecedented Traphall series. After three highly receptive EP’s, the forward thinking duo have enlisted a star studded supporting cast for the biggest installment yet. This 4-track behemoth includes guest features with Trinidad James, Damian Marley, and Sean Paul, among others. Released as a free download, catch this delectable smorgasbord of trap, Dancehall, reggae, hip hop and more via Dirty Dutch Music. 

The chilled out vibes start off the bat, with “Higher” feat. Beau Young Prince. The master of the groove drops a verse that would make any reggae legend proud. As “Higher” gradually builds, the track’s manic energy quickly follows suit. The payoff is a bombastic flurry of oscillating synths, wobbling high to low at an electrifying pace. Oozing Dirty Dutch and trap, with a touch of Moombahton, ChildsPlay & Chuckie give Traphall EP 4 a start to remember. 

Trinidad James show off a different side with the EP’s lead single, “No Worries”. Listeners are treated to James’ best reggae homage, leaving everything behind for a vocal chop that evokes dancehall riddims of years past. Chuckie & & ChildsPlay first unveil their foray into the ragga subgenre here, before going full blast in one of the EP’s later efforts. A soothing, chilled out production from start to finish, “No Worries” brings another element to the Traphall lore that promises to only be the beginning.

ChildsPlay & Chuckie follow up on a completely different tip with “Raggamuffin”. The track’s name is a perfect indication of what’s about to come, glorious madness. The vocalist gives ragga proper justice by spitting a blistering verse behind the dancehall beat. “Raggamuffin” hits a welcomed, almost unexpected stride when ChildsPlay & Chuckie show off their previously dormant new material. The high pitched synths arpeggio, while an army of blaring horns fire off to the beat. An obvious ode to one of dancehall’s beloved subgenres, “Raggamuffin” is a testament to the duo’s expansive knowledge. 

Chuckie & ChildsPlay close out this 4-track monster, with a star studded collaboration in “Riot”. Featuring an all star cast of genre stalwarts with Sean Paul, Damian Marley, & Hardwork, “Riot” showcases the growth of Traphall since its inaugural launch this last December.
