The Wax Wreckaz are a DJ-/production-outfit hailing from Austria, Innsbruck to be exact. A small city surrounded by mountains, green meadows filled with cows in summer and loads of snow and thousands of ski-tourists in winter. The crew consists of Busy Fingaz, Juwee, Fu and Sensay.

Four music lovers that although growing up with different social backgrounds – ranging from punk rock-loving-skateboard-kid to being a conductor’s offspring with classical music education – finally met in the year 1999 in a graphic design school and the rest is history.

Every time the whole crew works on music together, you can definitely feel that all the influences become one – classic New York mid 90s rap and turntablism to UK bass music, reggae and beyond! After their latest release longside the rising reggae star Etzia from Sweden – which gained support by acts like So Shifty, Jugglerz, Bert on Beats, Urban Knights, Rebel Sonix, Mash Up International or the Smalltown DJs and airplay on radio stations from Trinidad Tobago to Russia – they are back with their first release on Jeffree’s.

This time they hooked up with European dancehall-ruler Million Stylez and laced another bass heavy Reggae-Electronica hybrid. Million Stylez laid down an anthem for all the weed lovers worldwide, switching from toasting to singing and back, with his trademark style and voice all over the place. Playing with different genres is natural to the Wax Wreckaz – whether it’s in their DJ-Sets or productions. And so it’s obvious that the result has a unique sound to it, including influences from different genres like house, bass, hip-hop and of course dancehall and reggae.

ChildsPlay & Chuckie are back with the latest edition of their unprecedented Traphall series. After three highly receptive EP’s, the forward thinking duo have enlisted a star studded supporting cast for the biggest installment yet. This 4-track behemoth includes guest features with Trinidad James, Damian Marley, and Sean Paul, among others. Released as a free download, catch this delectable smorgasbord of trap, Dancehall, reggae, hip hop and more via Dirty Dutch Music. 

The chilled out vibes start off the bat, with “Higher” feat. Beau Young Prince. The master of the groove drops a verse that would make any reggae legend proud. As “Higher” gradually builds, the track’s manic energy quickly follows suit. The payoff is a bombastic flurry of oscillating synths, wobbling high to low at an electrifying pace. Oozing Dirty Dutch and trap, with a touch of Moombahton, ChildsPlay & Chuckie give Traphall EP 4 a start to remember. 

Trinidad James show off a different side with the EP’s lead single, “No Worries”. Listeners are treated to James’ best reggae homage, leaving everything behind for a vocal chop that evokes dancehall riddims of years past. Chuckie & & ChildsPlay first unveil their foray into the ragga subgenre here, before going full blast in one of the EP’s later efforts. A soothing, chilled out production from start to finish, “No Worries” brings another element to the Traphall lore that promises to only be the beginning.

ChildsPlay & Chuckie follow up on a completely different tip with “Raggamuffin”. The track’s name is a perfect indication of what’s about to come, glorious madness. The vocalist gives ragga proper justice by spitting a blistering verse behind the dancehall beat. “Raggamuffin” hits a welcomed, almost unexpected stride when ChildsPlay & Chuckie show off their previously dormant new material. The high pitched synths arpeggio, while an army of blaring horns fire off to the beat. An obvious ode to one of dancehall’s beloved subgenres, “Raggamuffin” is a testament to the duo’s expansive knowledge. 

Chuckie & ChildsPlay close out this 4-track monster, with a star studded collaboration in “Riot”. Featuring an all star cast of genre stalwarts with Sean Paul, Damian Marley, & Hardwork, “Riot” showcases the growth of Traphall since its inaugural launch this last December. Bringing together heavy hitters from the dancehall, reggae, trap and hip hop spectrums of contemporary music, “Riot” is the perfect way to close out Traphall EP 4. Having established a chilled out vibe throughout the overall record, Chuckie & ChildsPlay stride into the finish line with the same exact intentions. Each distinct vocalist is given his chance to shine, spotlighted with ease and care throughout the track. The melody plays on a similar style as “Raggamuffin”, utilizing flute like synth progressions back and forth to harmonize with the vocals. Mesmerizing, subtle and different from their past EP’s, Chuckie & ChildsPlay showcase a vision that has no limits to what they can accomplish.

 Today June 2nd is the official release of reggae/dancehall recording artiste Keida's debut EP Ebb and Flow. The compilation is available on iTunes. The fitting title Ebb and Flow is symbolic of the rhythms of life, a seven
track compilation which embodies the essence of growth and change as inevitable outcomes of the ups and downs ... the coming and goings of life. “Ebb and Flow" is an EP for the youths that I interact with daily ,
both in my family and in yours”. A graduated level of lyrical content is notable throughout the Ep's track compilation introducing the audience to a more conscious side of the artist they may not have seen in her earlier work.
  Opening with her Rory Stonelove produced hit "Ganja Tea", Keida invites
people to use their “meds” and their in a positive way. Ganja Tea, the
classic roots reggae record is followed by "Mad World" the soulful and inspirational piece produced by Royal
Order Music. It urges us to take more responsibility for the realities of the world and be more proactive our contributions; highlighting that there are too many people
who are displeased with the way the society is running for us not to make a
conscious step for a positive change in this mad world. On her U.I.M Records
produced single entitled "One Love", Keida helps her listeners to realize
the importance of one pure love as the nucleus which will stimulate a
positive chain reaction in our consciousness and our interpersonal
relations. "One Love" is introduced by the Great Russell Bell, Math genius
and youth empowerment advocate whose wise words have helped shape the lives
of many. "Russell Bell was the first to call me Keida Rankin, way before music entered my reality. He empowered me by encouraging me to embrace my visual way of thinking and that's something I apply in all areas of my life." The blazing, amped up dancehall track “Hot Ash", also produced by
U.I.M, showcases her versatility and highlights a hard edged up-tempo sound.
On the follow up track "M-16" produced byNatural High Music, Keida
deliberately reaches out to youths who are faced with the difficult choice
between destitution and crime as a means of survival. With the soothing melodies of Chalice's veteran musician Wayne Armond on back up vocals Keida has once again made a full circle back to her roots and the music she was introduced to by her father as a child. She closes out the
track by paying respect to the late Nicodemus, one of dancehall's greats
with her rendition of one of his famous verses. On her final song "Stand For
Something" produced by Royal Order Music, she is “telling every youth mi see
that the only sure way for growth is to stand for something”. The EP closes out with a dub
version of "Stand for Something" produced by Suns of Dub which includes Ras
Jammy, Jah Bami, and Addis Pablo (son of the late GreatAugustus Pablo).
 
  Stand for something or you gonna fall for anything. Rise up and wise up.
Keida and her team Great Whyte Entertainment have worked to ensure that Ebb
and Flow is sending a message that encourages all people to hold on to a
different way of thinking, to engage in positive actions and to take an
active part in shaping a new consciousness.
