Dirty Epic presents its tenth episode of the Amplify Series podcasts, this time welcoming @blackasteroid aboard.

Black Asteroid is Bryan Black. Former engineer for Prince, one half of the critically acclaimed MOTOR, DJ, producer, live performer. Black is a force of electronic power and precision whose current incarnation as Black Asteroid sees the auteur in his most decisive campaign to date. Weapons such as 2011’s “The Engine EP” (CLR), 2012’s “Black Acid EP” (Electric Deluxe) and remixes for Depeche Mode and Rick Owens have set a new and uncompromising standard with their otherworldly sounds and shapes.

Black Asteroid has brought his explosive DJ and live sets to events including a sold-out 12,000 capacity Palazzi Dei Congressi in Rome, Melkweg for Amsterdam Dance Event, Mysteryland festival, Berghain, Ageha, Fabric and many more.

Steve Stoll (USA) - NightVision Techno PODCAST 62 Pt. 2

Bio.:
Producing pure, minimalist analogue-minded techno in the vein of early Plastikman and Joey Beltram (even though his career began as a drummer with the industrial label Wax Trax), Steve Stoll has recorded for Nova Mute, Probe, DJax, Delirium, Synewave and his own Proper NYC label. Raised in Brooklyn, Stoll listened to hip-hop and disco as a child, then joined the Army straight out of high-school. He served for five years, including a period in the Gulf War when he plotted bomb runs by satellite. After being released, Stoll shifted around: he played drums for the industrial group Sister Machine Gun, studied jazz and began recording straight-edged techno for Big Apple labels like 212 Productions and Damon Wild's Synewave.

Stoll debuted for Sm:)e Recordings with the 1995 album Pacemaker. The following year brought another album, Zero Divide (recorded as the Operator) and an EP for Nova Mute (as the Blunted Boy Wonder). After he reverted back to Steve Stoll, Damn Analog Technology followed in 1997 and The Blunted Boy Wonder one year later. He stopped because of parenthood but now picked up the gear again.

The sound of an old truck, the hiss of a kettle or the clunking of a door are all fair game for KSP, who then takes his strange sound sources and weaves them into infectious sonic tapestries and intricate rhythms - KSP is a project with its own sonic identity has become a formidable live act that has been snapped up by the press and public alike, with many top club appearances such as Berghain and the Atonal Festival and music being released on labels such as Luke Slater's legendary Mote Evolver, KILLEKILL, Tresor, Osiris & TRUST. He has been commissioned to remix artists such as Planetary Assault Systems, Emika, He/aT, Monic and The Exaltics, always adding his own idiosyncratic take on things.
