Øperat, an experimental industrial project born by the Italian duo in 2013. Always passionate about electronic music, they approached the world of live and production right away. Suggesting a completely modular set up. Their sound is characterized by dark environments with dynamic bass lines and rhythms, aggressive and sharp sounds. After several years spent in a studio they had the opportunity to play live shows at one of the main clubs in the area"Hyper" (VI). In which they had several opportunities to perform with international artists. Last year they recorded some DJ sets for Sehnsucht Kollektiv, The Slave, Untreated, Vumantra, M.powerhouse and Brutal Forms.In February 2019 they have their first release in a various artist on Kloster recordings and December 2020 Templer (Area Z). 

Øperat is a strong and solid project in continuous evolution created by two old childhood friends.

Obscure brazilian artist ^L_ landed an intriguing new release on italian post-industrial heavy electronics label Brutal Forms. “Music for Doomers” is a punch in the stomach, a thoroughly constructed 4 track EP inspired by a nihilistic generation that often expresses downer feelings as it comprehends life as a dark downward spiral that only gets worse. The piece starts with ‘BDSM’, an incisive fetish pounding gabber tune that would fit perfectly on Berghain’s main dancefloor. The fast pace continues on ‘Sad People Hunting Happy People’ with its drilling beats, razor sharp metal timbres and long reverbing dark ambience textures that represent a scenery of revenge, as a criticism to positive toxicity. ‘Doomer Music’ has a futuristic drive, with its cutting edge synthwork, spicy acid 303 lines and hard techno beats, which take the listener to a dystopian cyberpunk world that could take place inside any doomer’s mind. Religious themes are often addressed by the artist, so ‘Satan + Jesus + Judas’ gathers supposedly opposite concepts in an elaborate percussive tune that travels between drill and bass, nervous IDM breakbeats and the industrial realms.
