Next up in the Fast Forward Audio Series, we present: Linn Elisabet

Linn Elisabet is a Berlin-based producer, DJ, and singer. Led by their own ethereal vocals, raw broken beats, and immersive sound design, their contemporary and transgressive interpretation of techno strives to reimagine possibility and desire. With a classically trained past in cello and church choirs, it is a given where their reverberant soundscapes and symphonic narratives have their roots. Linn Elisabet has released acclaimed works on labels such as 47 and Noise Manifesto, as well as their own imprint Acts of Rebellion. The label expands on Elisabet’s mission: making conventional functionality and restraining policies bow for non-compliance.

KHIDI Podcast NR.98: Years Of Denial

@crystal-geometry  Drawing from Post-Punk, Black Metal and Industrial, French producer and live artist, Maxime Fabre, has risen to acclaim under the Crystal Geometry alias, returning to his roots in the warehouse rave scene of the 90’s and industrial music, fusing Belgian EBM influences with post-modern, modular-engineered Techno. At its core, the project is built around an evolving analog modular synth, accommodated by haunting live vocals and abrasive distortion. Fabre’s live performances transpire into an all-out assault on the body, marching through dystopian territories, manipulating sounds into menacing frequencies. Equally punishing extended hybrid and DJ sets have given further scope and context to the alias, building weight throughout the global circuit of clubs, warehouses and spaces.

After a number of high-impact earlier productions, Crystal Geometry signed to Adam X’s Sonic Groove in late 2018, with the “Red Faith Militia” EP - a ferocious four-track vinyl release that explores the brutalities of the former Eastern Bloc and ruling Communist government. Following Fabre’s debut on the label , his second work for Sonic Groove rose to acclaim in 2019 with “The Cyber Heresy” EP - a military-grade vinyl continuing a wake of destruction across dancefloors. Crystal Geometry’s third release for Sonic Groove marked the opening of 2020, with a ten-track, full-length album entitled “Senestre”. The album furthers the alias’ interest in socio-political themes, laced with metallic synth lines and commanding vocals.

Following on from releases through Sonic Groove, Crystal Geometry made his mark on SNTS’ imprint, Sacred Court, in 2020 with the four-track “Samain” EP. The record served as further confirmation that Fabre sits at the forefront of only a handful of artists continuing to push boundaries into uncharted sonic waters.

Dirty Epic welcomes aboard @unhumangr for its sixty eighth episode of Amplify Series.

Unhuman is the Berlin-based electronic and experimental project of Manos Simotas. 

He is also the founder of Liber Null Berlin, which has played a critical role of unifying the freedom of arts in a conceptual event in the scene and also operates as a record label. Expanding beyond Berlin, Liber Null held events with performance arts and music all around the world including Athens, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul and beyond. 

Started in 2012 in Athens with his first release „Emperor Black“ on tape, he evolved through different genres ultimately finding his own unique voice in experimental and dark electronics. Keeping his roots in post-punk, Unhuman released on labels such as BITE, L.I.E.S. records, Instruments Of Discipline, Veleno Viola, Amok Tapes and Strange Therapy. A regular mainstay of major clubs in Berlin, Unhuman has performed all around Europe, Asia and South America and holds the artist in residency at Constant Value in Seoul, South Korea. 

Currently Unhuman holds residencies at the infamous Khidi Club in Tbilisi/Georgia and Olam Collective in Bratislava.

Knife presenta el podcast 180 por Ancient Methods, proyecto de Michael Wollenhaupt. 

Desde su aparición, el proyecto ha sido a menudo etiquetado como “pitch black techno war funk“  (citado después de una reseña inicial de Boomkat) y estrechamente asociado a lo que más tarde sería etiquetado como el movimiento "tecno industrial". Esto posiblemente se deba a la estética radical de la máquina que Ancient Methods ha convertido en un sonido característico inconfundible desde hace más de una década. Aunque el marco mecánico sea -ni más ni menos- un embajador físico de un contenido más profundo, hay una profunda emocionalidad humana encerrada en la coraza rítmica.

Since its emergence the project the has been often labelled as “pitch black techno war funk“ (quoted after an early Boomkat review) and closely associated to what later on would be tagged as the “industrial techno“ movement. This is possibly due to the radical machine aesthetics Ancient Methods has developed into an unmistakable trademark sound, since more than a decade. However the mechanical framework is - no more, no less - a physical ambassador for a deeper content, there is a profound human emotionality enclosed in the rhythmic shell.
