We’re approaching the end of 2022, a year in which a lot has flourished and we were allowed to dance with you again without restrictions! To close off this year we’re back with the annual December Series where we invited four artists to showcase their sound, every week until the new year starts.

The penultimate podcast of the year will be provided by the France-born Berlin-based artist, Olivia Mendez. Olivia is a record proxenete, dealing grooves across territories her unique sound can reach. Developing her sound continuously, Olivia showcases a vast musical inspiration across genres in her selections. Her sets are a cross-pollination of the old school with the avant-garde, aiming to keep the magic encoded in music alive. Olivia is also the founder of the FLINTA collective KONVENT, intending to create positive spaces to reinvestigate and elevate the discourse on contemporary feminism, through site-specific music and art intervention.

Recording of my Live Act at Jardim Sonoro, in Lisbon. I used two controllers to control Ableton (108 knobs & 12 buttons) and an Erica Synths Perkons (also processed in Ableton in real time). 95‰ of the synth ideas you hear were created in the moment. No scene launch in ableton whatsoever. Let me know if you find the 5% pre recorded beats :D

It’s a completely raw recording, no level adjustment, no mastering and no editing (yes you can hear a little crash on my computer near the end).

I asked him if he can provide a live mix cause i find them more interesting.
A live recording is always more energetic and I think that's how you can listen to what a dj can truly do and see the amount of skills that an artist possess. 
He thankfully said yes and what you are about to listen is the first part from his recent set in Cialo club located in Wroclaw, Poland.
As he said to me, he is playing lots of old school tracks with a good amount of unreleased stuff combined together to treat us with 1+ hour of mind-blowing music that is a perfect fit for the vision i have for the Renegade project.

Swedish based deejay and techno producer Markus Axelsson aka MarAxe, has established himself as one of the top techno exports from the Swedish techno scene. His productions are driven and hard and he has had a slew of releases entering the top 100 Beatport techno chart. Senga Ep, released on Planet Rhythm, made nr 1 on the Junodownload bestseller chart in July 2023. He has his roots in the early 90´s techno scene where he also started his deejay career. As a deejay, his style reflects the music he produces - Hard, driven and hypnotic. 

Today MarAxe releases on on a variety of labels such as Naked Lunch records, Planet Rhythm, Hydraulix, Soma, Remain records just to name a few and his music has gained support from some of the biggest names on the scene!

Hailing from the vibrant Sicily, LPV storms the scene with a combination of EBM, Industrial, and Acid Techno. Heavily influenced by artists such as Darren Price, CJ Bolland and Chris McCormack, his introduction to techno as a teenager by his father led him to start collecting vinyl and mixing in his bedroom.

As his hunger for more grew, he soon began producing music, releasing with labels like Monnom Black. Now he's supported by the biggest names in the scene like Dax j, Thomas P.Heckman, Fred Umwelt and more. He recently demonstrated his idea of Techno at his HÖR set on March 21/2024.

- “This set was recorded in León last weekend, in a lovely night by Solid Velvet. The main reason why I chose this particular mix is not because it has a lot of unreleased or exclusive music, but mostly because it captures my current flow, and it was a really fun session :) Still, you can also find some ‘mystery’ beats from myself and friends. Hope you enjoy!”

One of the most active players shaping contemporary Techno, Temudo has developed his own vocabulary creating a unique trademark sound. 
His interpretation of the genre is made through a clinical approach, blending the soul of the genre with a modern and unorthodox methodology.
With the rare ability to absorb and express different moods keeping the same signature sound, he manages to have the seal of a wide spectrum of labels like Klockworks, Blueprint, Soma or Warm Up - whose work speaks for itself. 
As a DJ the sharp vision remains, delivering a fast paced eclectic journey with music from different time frames mixed in an coherent and elegant way. 
He’s one of the minds behind Hayes and runs his own Mastering Studio: Tema Mastering.

In 2023 Temudo starts a journey into Live performance: his approach has been much less linear than one would expect as it is more of a spontaneous act than a structured, pre-programmed set. This results in each set being completely different, a whole lot of variety and him squeezing Ableton to the limit of sonic possibilities.
