When it comes to hip hop In Georgia a lot of people talk about rappers out of Atlanta, They never talk about rappers out of the more country side of Georgia. Southwest Georgia is the more country side of hip hop. There is more country sling in the music so that is what makes the music different. In a small town by the name Dawson Georgia outside of Albany Georgia 33 year old rapper Dirty Head is making some noise with music like Damn Rite, Tags Everything and other music that is now playing.The name Dirty Head comes from the gritty rhyming skills, Dirty Head born as Johnny C Clay Jr, attended school at Terrell High where he Join the band and became a drum major. He has outstanding awards and was an outstanding percussion leader.
Dirty Head started rapping in 1998 and found out that music is what he wanted to pursue. He later formed a group which included members Maintain, Shine, Caliber J (a.k.a. Suthern Jones), and himself known as 187 click.
Dirty Head and Caliber j teamed up with S.O.A Click member OG and created a hit song by the name of “This Ain’t What You Want” this song caught the attention of the local area. The song created a buzz that had entered them into Lil Jon BME show case that they did not attend. Everyone decided to go their own way and the group soon broke up.
In 2010 Dirty Head moved back to Dawson G.A and found out that his longtime friend Daryl Jones a.k. a (suthern jones)
Was still doing his thing but the only difference was he was running a label. Suthern talked about making Dirty Head his
headline artist but they never made a move. In 2013 Suthern Jones (C.E.O of Black Ice 45 MG) took
Dirty as his first artist and has started a buzz, there is no doubt Dirty has the power that is truly going to make the touch down.
