“Keepin’ It Kool” is the second single from Potatohead People’s upcoming “Eat Your Heart Out” album. Opening with swinging drums, a Bill Withers-esque guitar lick and an earworm of a hook sung by the PP, the song opens up into beautiful R&B vocals from Vancouver’s Kendra Dias. Lyrically the song touches on two common & paradoxical relationship angles–thinking someone is playing it cool, while that person is only playing it cool to see the same interest back. Lovely string arrangements, classic organ, and throwback musical change-ups turn thesong into pure magic. “Eat Your Heart Out” hits everywhere on May 10th.
