Noise Invaders, le mystérieux duo déguisé du label russe Mako Records, incarne avec l’EP « Time » la nouvelle collaboration franco-russe.
Sorti chez Boxon Records, l’EP comprend la version originale du titre « Time », disponible chez Mako Records sur un album éponyme, ainsi que quatre remixes 100% Boxon.
Si l’album marque les débuts du groupe en tant que compositeurs à part entière, le nom Noise Invaders lui a déjà fait sa place dans le milieu : on se souvient notamment de leurs remixes atypiques pour Chromeo (Turbo Rec), Polymorphic, Aerotronic and The W.
Livré sous une pochette aux accents futuristes, l’EP « Time Remixes » est un véritable voyage technoïde aux sonorités déroutantes. Si la version originale du morceau, hymne électro old school minimaliste, annonce d’emblée la couleur, les remixes de l’écurie Boxon apportent eux aussi leurs touches personnelles à l’univers de Noise Invaders.
Dilemn, artiste phare du label, débute cette série de remix avec une production nerveuse et sophistiquée qui vient chambouler le rythme tranquille et posé de la version originale.
Le deuxième remix est signé Costello. Caractérisé par un tempo très 80s, le morceau est une redoutable invitation au dance-floor et présente ce que le jeune DJ-producteur bordelais sait faire de mieux en matière de remixes.
Le remix de kiGma ici présent se veut réellement différent du morceau original. Savant mélange d’électro et de house minimaliste, le titre se distingue par ses influences hip-hop et funky qui se marient à merveille avec l’ambiance gothique de Noise Invaders.
Enfin, cet EP de remix se clôt avec la prouesse de D.Vice. Multipliant les effets techniques tant appréciés des Djs, cet ultime remix joue la carte de l’expérimentation sur une base pourtant bien définie. Les voix pitchées complètent l’instrumentalisation, le tout est une ode psyché à la danse.
