Disarm 'Swamp' [Identity Records]

Punching through the sound barrier with an icy fist, Disarm lands on Identity Records with two fresh tracks; intricately designed to push speaker systems to the absolute brink, these tracks revel in the sub-weight pressure that lies at the heart of the labels ethos. Pulling its energy directly from the dark sounds of the underground, it’s a powerhouse release that hits the body as hard as it infects the mind.  

“Thoughts” open with a deep current of atmospherics, building the tension with maximum efficiency. As the vocal sample launches the drop, the dual force of the snare and kick drum propels the song forward with a surging intensity that can't be denied. Mutating blasts of noise fuse perfectly with the chattering repetition of the hats, creating a hypnotic blend of sounds that makes this such an addictive track.

The heavy duty weapon “Swamp” comes rolling in next, brandishing a ferocious sub that smashes anything in its path. The razor sharp chop of the snare cuts through the mix, layering perfectly with the rhythmic vibrations and murky horn blasts that dot the soundscape. This is an overpowering tune that takes no prisoners, with each layer designed to deliver the serious weight that lays at the heart of it.

En esta ocasión tenemos el placer de presentaros a @inputdnb .
Dj/Productor de Mallorca con un largo recorrido en la escena Basslear desde bien joven.  Nos trae una sesión de DNB que va desde Deep-Funk hasta Neurofunk. 

Desde los 8 años con una sólida formación musical que abarca diez años de estudio e interpretación de una variedad de instrumentos, incluyendo percusión, guitarra eléctrica, piano y trombón, empezó su proyecto Input a los 16 con su transición hacia la electrónica y el mundo del Drum and Bass. Inspirado por la complejidad rítmica y las texturas inmersivas del género, se sumergió en los subgéneros Deep, Minimal y Neurofunk. A través de sus mezclas y producciones, fusionó su experiencia instrumental y gustos personales del diseño de sonido con las últimas tendencias de la escena electrónica. Su objetivo es compartir su pasión y conexión con la música, llevando a los oyentes a un viaje emocionante a través del sonido del Drum and Bass moderno.

*This is an edit of the original song and contains a kick & a snare layered with the other drums to make it more punchy, however everything else in the whole track is made from white noise.

Drums hits were made individually using Eq, saturation, transient shaping etc
Basslines we're produced by lowpassing the sample, looping and using as wavetables in serum to use Lfo's, filters and then distortion.
The lead/melody was made with Eq, a sweeping bandpass filter and then distorted with Izotope trash2.
Fx we're made by Eq, adding resonance, warping, and layering.
Not a single sample or external sound source not coming from the original white noise sample was used (apart from the kick & snare in this version). Thanks for listening
