Long, long ago In the peaceful state of Kaya, nestled at the foot of the mighty Mount Bas, life was serene and tranquil. The people of the state thrived in their quaint villages, surrounded by lush greenery and serene landscapes. However, their peace would soon be shattered by the arrival of a fearsome dragon named Stregoi.

Stregoi, with scales as blue as ice and eyes filled with malice, descended upon the state, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. Villages were razed to the ground, homes were reduced to ashes, and panic gripped the hearts of the people. Filled with an insatiable appetite, the dragon made the capital his nesting ground, settling atop a massive rock where he began feeding on the unsuspecting urban residents.
As the news of Stregoi's terrifying presence spread throughout the state of Kaya, fear and despair hung heavy in the air. The once serene landscapes were now marred by destruction and the cries of anguish echoed through the valleys. The people had lost all hope, believing that their peaceful existence was forever lost.

In the heart of the chaos, a brave master of Dragons - Ean refused to succumb to despair. With determination burning in his eyes, he vowed to save people from the clutches of this malevolent dragon.This is how our story began...

With a combined history that expands over decades, Calyx & TeeBee’s discography is a journey which explores not only their own output, but the genre’s history. Having remixed commercial heavyweights such as Example, as well as underground tastemaker Tchami whilst blending genres and paying homage to their extensive craft, their experience is rivalled by none.

And yet again they continue their assault and return onto the scene with one of the most sought after tracks since its first play last year. Featuring the dancefloor genre talents of Doctor, who’s recently smashed his way onto the daytime radio airwaves, ‘Where We Go’ is a collaboration set to end the summer in spectacular style. 

An impressively innovative sonic piece of artwork, ‘Where We Go’ signifies another step towards the hugely anticipated ‘1X1’ LP. Crafting Doctor’s party-style vocals on top of an LFO-lead bassline and pounding drum patterns the first drop plummets you down a chasm so intricately constructed there’s no mistaking the duo’s signature production standard. One of the most epitomical moments from this year’s EDC, especially for representing drum & bass, there’s no mistaking the collective sigh of relief that it’s finally about to be unleashed.

Showcasing their impressive versatility, the flipside is just as impressive but a shade darker. ‘Ghost Writer’ utilises an imposing sample which sets up a break before smashing it down with pounding subs between a distorted bassline and elevated percussion. An early morning anthem which takes you in the murkiest corner of every club across the globe, it bares its teeth whilst propelling itself forward in a way which only Calyx & TeeBee can command.

Under the restless blanket of a heartless night, the sculptor shifted uneasily in his atelier sleeping quarter. Slumber evaded him, every hallucination of momentary solace chased quickly into the shadows of his disquiet. Tormented by the weight of his task, to surpass the greatest creators of the past and deliver to their dynasty an icon to strike fear and awe into the hearts of the proletariat… In the depths of that darkness his mind cried out to every conceivable higher entity, light and dark – begging for the inspiration that would save him. With the encroachment of dawn, tiredness washed over him… pulling his flayed mind into a shallow sea of morbid sleep. A torrent of nightmares flooded him - visions of an amorphous entity clawing at birthing sack, a hideous soul struggling for its freedom. He awoke with a choking gasp... adrenaline flowing. Something glinted dully upon his bedside in the morning light – the razor edge of a sculptor’s blade. Picking it up and looking closely at its sharp form, covered in an obscure script. He was certain it wasn’t there in the night, it certainly wasn’t one of his… He rose from bed, moving over to the head-shaped block of clay that had awaited his touch for too long. With precision he swiftly scraped deep into the featureless façade. Gasping suddenly, he staggered back, dropping the infernal tool in horror - fear seared deep into his eyes… the clay had reacted, drawing away from the blades edge as if it was living tissue, a trickle of blood seeping out of the fresh wound. The barely shaped head was moving… writhing as if in pain, as if it couldn’t breathe – as if there was something trapped inside... He quickly picked up the blade, cutting again and again, freeing its twisted and tortured mouth, slicing away the substance piece by piece, uncovering the flesh beneath… freeing anguish-filled, bloodshot eyes that flicked around in perpetual terror. Stepping back… he looked with mouth aghast at the vision that confronted him – the head twisting to free itself from his sculptor’s block, a vision of suffering, the deep pain of reality flooding into his creation’s soul.

Vienna is home to one of the most celebrated drum & bass scenes in the world outside its birthplace, Great Britain, and this can be attributed in large part to the dedication of one man, DisasZt.

DisasZt is an undisputed key player in the Austrian drum & bass scene. Thanks to his more than 15 years of involvement in almost all areas of this culture, this underground music genre has been able to develop constantly.
 
DisasZt began his musical career as a DJ in 1998 by founding the crew Bass Infection with his Austrian colleagues Phazes and Dom.n.k. In a relatively short time, the collective was booked nationwide. 
 
In 2001 DisasZt brought the Drum & Bass community into shape. He organized parties in many Austrian cities and in 2002 he established the Mainframe event series at the Vienna WUK-Club. The popularity of these club nights meant that the event had to be moved to a larger venue for 2000 people. The ARENA in Vienna thus became the main venue for Mainframe.
 
DisasZt's talent and his passion for the Viennese nightlife led him to the courageous decision to found his own club. The ZOO became his heart project, that DisasZt and a handful of friends built with their own hands. The ZOO became an essential center for urban culture and music. DisasZt created a stage for the freshest talents in techno, reggae and dubstep. As the world-famous platform grew in popularity, he launched the Basscity series of events, which was intended to provide an exclusive stage for the greatest Austrian artists in particular.
 
In 2011 DisasZt started to organize the annual "Mainframe Open Air Festival" at ARENA, which hosted well-known international acts and had several thousand visitors per day. Mainframe became more and more popular and in 2019 the event moved to the Gasometer, an even bigger venue for over 3500 visitors. At the same time, DisasZt's tireless work and exceptional care of the Drum & Bass network enabled Mainframe to become a regular stage guest at Europe's biggest festivals such as Nu Forms and Beatpatrol, finally to manifest its place.  
 
More than just a club night: MAINFRAME, the Drum & Bass label
In 2008, Mainframe started to become one of the world's most respected Drum & Bass labels. Mainframe Recordings is credited with the discovery of superstars of the scene such as Camo & Krooked, Hybrid Mind, The Prototypes, Fred V & Grafix, Xilent and Dossa & Locuzzed. Because of this exquisite A&R, the portfolio is championed by Drum & Bass' most prominent gatekeepers such as Fabio & Grooverider, Friction and Annie Mac.
 
DisasZt: the producer
2001 was also the year in which DisasZt itself started to produce music by himself. His track "Get It On" under the pseudonym "The Unexpected" was subsequently released on "Inside Out", an Austrian Drum & Bass compilation. The quality of DisasZt's output continued to develop constantly. To date he has released his tracks on the following labels: Andy C's Ram Records, Shimon's Audio Porn Futurebound's Viper Recordings and Bryan Gee's V Recordings.

The past years and the numerous worldwide collaborations with the biggest names of the scene have shown the versatility of DisasZt, from the funky flings of 'Rumours', a collaboration with Shimon and Coppa, to the extraordinary production of 'Ribcage', released on the famous Technique Recordings, to the crossover dancefloor of 'Don't Know Us' featuring Marianna Ray. Melodies like these, together with his flawless mixing skills and energetic performances, have earned him prestigious appearances all over the world, from South America to Japan, as well as major events such as "Sun and Bass" in Italy or "Let it Roll" in Prague.
