The SINM collective comes in with the second release of theirs, a three tracker consisting out of two originals, 74 Space Station and Hello Callisto, and a remix from Cesare Muraca for the EP's title track 74 Space Station. SINM are Stefan, JJ and Alonso, or as they say, three Peruvians living in Barcelona. Addtionally the trio is responsible for the event series Mutual. 74 Space Station is the follow-up of their First Try Fridays EP, which was out in spring. 74 Space Station covers several musical influences and draws on the trio's first release. Chopped vocals gracefully blend in the track's breakbeat-esque bass line and pads that create a smooth almost ambient-like vibe, without fulfilling the criteria of the genre. For that or rather for the latter 74 Space Station is too forward-thinking and forward-moving as it musically portrays this state of weightlessness one experiences when being in space – just that space in this case is replaced by the dance floor. 

SINM's 74 Space Station will be released in November.

“snapout”, a Tokyo-based party crew of DJs and Producers, will launch a record label in early 2022.

“snapout” members include veteran DJ yama', who has been DJing since 1998, Takashi Himeoka, who has been making tracks since 2014 and has released on “Phreak” and “Cabaret Recordings” labels, Hisashi, who has played at several regular parties in Tokyo and contributed a track to “How High” label at the end of 2021, and Riku Sugimoto.

For the first single, Riku Sugimoto has created three tracks based on the atmosphere of “snapout”, adopt the essence of Detroit/Dutch techno and Chicago/UK house from the early 90s and early 00s.

Stefan Weise aka Syrte envisioned the “Astra Spectra” series as a celebration of mankind’s vision for space exploration, past and future, while also expressing a love for space science, science fiction and the spirit of discovery. Each release in the series is representative of a color frequency in our sun’s absorption spectrum and the element which is represented by that, hence the name, which means “Solar Spectrum”.

In original form his single ‘Hexaline’ is an intense and driving bit of techno with majestic synth patterns that light up the whole track as they dance up and down the scale whilst the slick drums power on below. It’s a terrific techno cut for the peak of the night to get hands in the air, with a powerful sound courtesy of Ulrich Schnauss’ masterful mixdown.
Hiroshi Watanabe then steps up to remix after strong outings on labels like Transmat earlier in the year. He is one of Japan’s leading electronic producers on labels likes Mule, King Street Sounds and Kompakt and here he totally reworks the track into a nine minute techno symphony with icy drums doing a restless dance as swirling pads bring a cosmic feel. It’s epic, elegant techno that takes you on a real trip.
The next remix is from A.Mochi, one of Len Faki’s key label associates on Figure and someone with a live PA and DJ set that leaves you spellbound. From CLR to Mote-Evolver he has released on the best contemporary techno labels and played at places like Berghain so is an unquestionably vital artist. His excellent rework is deep, slow burning and hugely atmospheric, with pensive pads and tender one-finger synth notes ringing out into the sky.
