Now, what do we have here... A brand new offering by Mr. https://soundcloud.com/panthera-krause. You know, Krause as in Riotvan shareholder and co-curator, fun guy behind the decks (and in general) and last but not least innovator and maverick of all things House. Krause has been proven over the course of his previous EPs on Riotvan that his approach to electronic music is one of a kind and never lacks a certain tongue in cheek attitude. Exactly that is now validated by these two new cuts, maybe more concise and on point than ever. And these tunes are not only an indicator about where the boy is at right now, they are also a foretaste of an album that will be released later that year on Riotvan.

Side one contains the "Genki Girl", a character of the rather quirky kind, it seems. Krause introduces a beat rich in cowbell and tambourine use, topped by a guitar lick, that sparks some memories of that time when Funk and Punk fell in love and a label like DFA had its heydays. While adding synth arrangements, one could assume, Krause might've gone a bit bonkers for a second. And that's applying to both, the rhythmic patterns as well as the lead that throughout time gets adapted by various other instruments. A rich and haywire tune that still retains an utmost floor appeal. 

Same goes for "Spring Irre" on the flipside. As the German title already indicates, this one is even nuttier. Guitar samples triggering a certain Talking Heads memento meet eccentric pitchshift modulations and an indeed jumping bass sounding as if it was played by Bootsy Collins on ephedrine. A sidestepping, plain unpredictable monster of a track that despite of all its complexity at any moment delivers groove and joy and unrestricted frenzy.

Young firestarter Kendal lands on Dischi Autunno with his second release, a 4-track elevated burner of contemporary dance music with a distinctive, melodic take on 80's and 90's electronic tropes. Opener 'Disturbo' blends prime-time piano riffs with insistent breakbeats and uplifting melody. Inspired by horror legend John Carpenter, 'Intacto' takes us further into the wormhole, late 80's new-wave sensibilities in the punchy low-end refreshed by modern production techniques and a euphoric synth line giving a nod to peak-energy trance state dance music. Heading into the B-side, we're treated to more of Kendal's fine ear for melody and progression with 'Moresko', a meandering tale that allows rhythm and pattern to build and fall away, all the while never losing sight of the release's hallmark uplifting energy. Closing proceedings is the strut and swagger of 'Ritmo Fatale'. Cosmic dancefloor ready, the rolling bassline is beautifully paired with escalating synths and crisp percussion for a hands-in-the-air finale. Across the four tracks Kendal demonstrates a clear ear for the prime-time, discerning dancefloor: ubiquitous and passionate, his sound is sure to find a home on sound systems around the world.

With their label Correspondant, Jennifer Cardini has pursued a progressive dance sound with a far-flung group of established and upcoming artists. Since 2011, more than fifty EPs have been put out. At the beginning of 2017 Jennifer Cardini and her partner Noura Labbani will start a new label, Dischi Autunno. 
With Dischi Autunno, Cardini and Labbani will release rock, indie, ambient, prog and experimental music directed to the home listening experience. The label will publish solely albums which will be made available on LP, CD as well as digital with !K7 as distributor. The first catalogue number will be “Holy Ghost People” by Dutch artist Dollkraut.
Each record will have unique artwork created by UK visual artist, photographer & film maker Stevie Anderson. Exploring altered mind states with symbolic and metaphorical images Anderson will add a visual dimension to Dischi Autunno´s music.
