Across six tracks, Du Palais unravels a potent signature, driven by fierce, imperious Anglo-Germanic vocals and eclectic, dissonant sounds. Connecting techno, EBM, acid and electro with vestiges of dub and experimental electronics, on ‘Endurance of Pain…’ Du Palais conjures an abrasive, intoxicating depiction of lust, hedonism, technological obsession and millennial alienation.

With the cruising techno pop menace of ‘Slow Steady Cum’, Du Palais introduces a nocturnal underworld. The descent is intensified by the mania and murk of ‘Glazed Disco Ball’ – a suspenseful dose of guttural low end, scowling spoken words, and crude drum machine clatter; if Gudrun Gut fronted Suicide. Then ‘Boys Tears’ elaborates on the dread and the sleaze with a horror show of gurgling synthesis, drubbing percussion and dissolute enunciations, halfway between John Carpenter and Unit Moebius.

From there ‘Up To No Good’ brings proceedings into a severe form of heat and frenzy, outlaying an exchange of raw jackhammer rhythms and vociferous punk chants that recalls Liaisons Dangereuses’ timeless underground classic ‘Los Niños del Parque’ if remade for 2021. ‘Smash The Mirror’ then finds room for scintillating dub recurrence and freakish machine funk before Sophie concludes the set with the sardonic electro-clash anthemics of ‘2001’, a provocative exploration of self, communication, and compulsion in the digital era. Miss Kittin meets Dopplereffekt for a technoid bonfire of the vanities.

‘Endurance of Pain…’ finds Sophie Du Palais seizing an uncompromising sense of style and intensity, an emergent new artist navigating a merciless, pleasure-seeking existence, from club to bedroom to screen, facing it all down with a cold glare, ready to light the fuse.

The St. Petesburg's colorful artist has just recorded 6 catchy and powerful tunes which are heavily influenced by the new wave/post punk music of the late 80's , especially by bands like Кино (Kino) and the Soviet space disco as well.

All tracks produced by Konstantin Isaev in Saint Petersburg  (2018 - 2020).

One of the most consistent new labels around, Cyphon Recordings, marks double figures with another standout release that gleans from the past but faces the future. This time they look to the talents of Emotive Technology, a new alias from Chilean Massiande who provides a five-track EP of machine-wielding, soul-rousing techno from across the spectrum. Although this may be the first release under his new moniker, Massiande has spent the last decade putting out productions with labels such as Housewax, Phonica, Freerange and Groovin. 
 
Firing on all cylinders from the get-go, ‘Rise’ kicks off the Walk Into The Light EP. A hyperspace melding of new beat, Italo and arp-operating techno that opens out into a slice of peak-time revelry. The swirling textures of ‘It’s On’ follow, pushing you into the next dimension. A hypnotic, entrancing, and arresting heads-down powerhouse. Crunchy and considered it's the kind of strobe-stuttering basement jam that turns heads inside out. Two Detroit-leaning tracks ‘Your Zone’ and ‘Walk Into The Light’ are up next. The former is a heavyweight machine workout. Producer Plastico has been experimenting and playing for a long time, with a unique sound. Now he lands on Melómana Records with Ghetto House, an album consists of four original tracks and a remix of the great Alejandro Paz. The album, oriented to the dance floor, is presented with the firm intention of giving a necessary and demanding twist to the dancefloor. The whole of this album is the summary of many days fiddling with exceptional analog synthesizers, until finding a sound full of color, organic and meandering, which manages to filter through each pore of the skin until we are completely electrified. Each track gets the listener out of himself, open his mind and light the flame of hope, in a world where it seems that he has lost all idea of the future. And more, in a situation like the one we are experiencing, such an album is a breath of fresh air. Plastico tries to transmit his particular personality and vital project in this deep and personal Guetto House, timeless and full of strength, to which we will go over time trying to decipher that magical and complex mechanism that manages to transcend all the expectations of dance music.

As head of Italian (centric) Slow Motion label and through his own productions and remixes, Franz Scala has been pioneering the retro-futuristic aesthetic of club culture weaving together elements of proto-house, wave and Italo for the nuovo contemporary dancefloor long before it's current vogue. Now alongside Bordello A Parigi, and supported by Sameheads, Slow Motion presents Scala's euphoric debut LP Mondo Della Notte. 
A homage to the world of the night where Franz plies his trade. Solid production and understanding of the various references informing the contemporary dancefloor imbues this set with a quality of permanence. Each track clocks-in at around the seven minute mark accommodating all Scala's retro influences providing the space for walls of sounds to expand and unfold along these infectious rhythm voyages. 
It is a tribute to Franz's careful, attentive approach to his love of music that, for the first time, after a decade running Slow Motion, he finally releases his own productions through his own label. With their label Correspondant, Jennifer Cardini has pursued a progressive dance sound with a far-flung group of established and upcoming artists. Since 2011, more than fifty EPs have been put out. At the beginning of 2017 Jennifer Cardini and her partner Noura Labbani will start a new label, Dischi Autunno. 
With Dischi Autunno, Cardini and Labbani will release rock, indie, ambient, prog and experimental music directed to the home listening experience. The label will publish solely albums which will be made available on LP, CD as well as digital with !K7 as distributor. The first catalogue number will be “Holy Ghost People” by Dutch artist Dollkraut.
Each record will have unique artwork created by UK visual artist, photographer & film maker Stevie Anderson. Exploring altered mind states with symbolic and metaphorical images Anderson will add a visual dimension to Dischi Autunno´s music.
