"Amid the flurry of shows and festivals coming back all at once, I had the urge to create a new song that would be an intro to my live sets. I've done this before where I've written something original in the arrangement of some super long intense intro. Underground started like that for me. At first it was everything up until the drop, and I had just mashed it up with another song, but I knew after playing it out a few times I had to turn it into a full blown song. I wanted it to tell the story of Kayzo throughout the years in one song. From the rock to the four on the floor hard stuff mixed in with half time dubstep, I feel like it ended up embodying the rest of the album in a spark note version, which is why I chose for it to be the first song on New Breed.
