Picture this: you awake to a call in the wee hours of the morning. What's that you say? A backyard breakfast is brewing? oh there's balearic beats? and Mr. PC is on deck?! You hop on your MTB. You've never pedaled faster in your life. You follow the sweet, sultry sound of jazz flute. You come for the dance, and you stay for the impeccable track selection with a side of sausage & eggs. It's 6 AM in Detroit and you're right where you belong.

I am delighted to feature a special recording this week from @petercroce [@rocksteadydisco | Detroit]. The mix was a snippet taken from his Secrete Sunrise set back in August - literally as the sun rose. Give er a listen, it truly is magical 🌅

The Timbres train keeps on rollin and for this stop, we check in with a guest many of you know and respect. Tooli, label boss for Omena Records, and Local Talk Records has graced us with an introspective journey through music. A collection of music to "wind down and also get some positive energy"

When I reached out to Tooli, I was beyond excited to hear that he was interested. His labels have been home to some of my favorite music, and artists as well. 

This mix is a bit different than whats typical for this series, but that's why it has quickly become one that I will cherish deeply. There's no intentional promotion, or a mix for the club, but instead a journey through beautiful sounds for the sake of relaxation.

Into month two of 2024. This year is flying by. Seems like yesterday we were celebrating Christmas and New year. 
Anyway on with the write up. I did some digging in the racks for this one. Pulled some classic broken beat from the likes of Jazzanova et al, some tasty beat work outs from LTJ Bukem and sprinkled some newer house and techno into the mix. 
Considering I was/am fighting a chest infection I think it turned out pretty well.
Some tricky transitions in this mix too, so tuck in and enjoy the sounds of One foot #90
